Junior at RB with Hoever in front I prefer Hoever further forward, yep. Pearson a worry for me of late. Not been impressed with him at all. Can see us getting completely over run in midfield here. They're on a real bounce at the minute and look a good side Pearson was outstanding yesterday, his best game in a while and by far the best player on the pitch, if we get overrun in midfield it’s because a lot of the time he’s doing the work all on his own. Although Burger was also good second half yesterday.

I didn't think so, I thought both did well, one little thing I do like about Burger and I've seen him do it a few times now is when we're under pressure he'll boot the ball high right up, it gives the players time to adjust. It's not a long ball by any stretch of the imagination it's a boot to the clouds higher than it is wide. It's a good way of slowing it down for a second or two you don't see many if any do it

Rewatching the highlights it was one of these that led to our first goal, maybe it is something we've worked on because Leris attacked that ball like he meant it

They have some fast players in the forward line. When watching the weekend goals back what worries me more with young centre backs is the lack of communication between them and the keeper. The extra Sunderland player who scores from being wide open for ages, not once did they look as though they saw him or communicated for someone to move over to pick him up. Just fixed on watching the ball.
I think a more experienced centre back or keeper would have been screaming for someone to do it. The defence is still a concern for me, which is a shame because going forward could be quite exciting this season if everyone stays fit.

Pearson whilst not outstanding had a good game as did Burger, we bossed the midfield for most of the game, ball was in their half/last third far more than ours until the last part when we were knackered/had Laurent doing fuck all

Vidigal needs easing back in slowly, Ki-Jana and Pearson looked shattered.

Rose is in most of the team picks, there must be an alternative to Rose, Shirley.

I’m not sure what game you were watching if that’s your opinion to be honest, the amount of times Pearson won the ball back was crucial. In the first half Johnson and Burger were getting walked by and Pearson was having to win it back on his own which he did more often than not. To be fair to Burger though second half he really stepped up and also won it back a lot, last 10 minutes Pearson was injured and probably should have come off but we didn’t really have anyone to replace him.

Won some ball as you say but as happens too often, the game in parts went on around him To be fair, 1 person voted Pearson MOM Possibly Mrs Pearson

He does most of the 'shitty' work and those sort of players seem to go unnoticed. More of the same v Dirty Leeds will do for me.

Think this will be a high scoring game.
Can’t see us taking anything from it though.
The attacking options for Leeds are premier league level, such a high quality.
Hoping we put up a fight and make it interesting.
Would definitely take a point.

Hopefully Pearson makes it, Junho in for Johnson should be something we do and will Mmaee, Stevens and Hoever be able to play back to back games after injury? With the other options at right back I think rotating Hoever would be sensible, not so easy with the others.
Doubt Clark will be available with not even being on the bench on Saturday.
Travers Junior McNally Rose Stevens Pearson Burger Leris Junho Vidigal Mmaee
Thompson for Pearson if he’s injured.

I'm hoping Clark will make the bench this time (he said himself he had been keeping fit, so all he should be is a little match rusty so he's gonna need, you know, matches?). Haks or Junho will probably replace Vidigal, and AN will (wrongly) think that Laurent is a safer choice in midfield than Junho.

Also a couple of dreadful free kick deliveries, just to top off an utterly inept all round display.

We put one decent one in and score, however. Makes it more frustrating

Two questions;
Are you looking forward to the game?
How would you feel if we play well but lose?
