Seeing as its not been done I'll start the ball rolling One way traffic first half with a measly 10% possession at one stage. To be only one down was a bonus. Second half we missed a glorious chance in the first minute and started to play a bit better, however for reasons only known to AN we didnt bring a sub on until 88 minutes, which was absolutely effing pointless. By this time ratboy had come on, scored, and rubbed it in our faces. Can only be a 2 at best from me. Minus 10. Incapable of setting a team up or influencing a game when it start’s going against us. Which it always does.

Having had a while to think about it I will give him a sympathetic 5 With the defenders he had available he tried to protect the back 4 with 4 midfielders in front of them, his game plan was obvious for everyone to see. try to keep the score at 0-0 or 1-0 till about 70 minutes then throw on another attacking player and try to get a goal back. If he'd have played more open we'd have had our arses handed to us on a plate. The 2nd goal killed it (looked a mile offside to me at the time). Gouranga.

So why didn't he make a change at 1-0 after 70 if that was his masterplan? That's what baffles & frustrates me

I have no sympathy for him over the injuries, he should have put a squad together to cope when things go wrong.

That's a fair enough comment BUT lets be honest we have 8 possible first team players out I wouldn't make any excuses or have any sympathy if it were 2 or 3, we havent got enough players to put a defence together and our best forwards are out including our top scorer who was blatantly kicked several times at Milwall but got no protection from the officials. Gouranga.

Gouranga. If we are rating him on this game in isolation, I’d accept those mitigations and give him a 6. However, given we have been able to sign 18 players, the lack of options in the squad at left back and centre back for this game are a direct consequence of his failure to provide a reasonable amount of cover in those positions, so, with the relevant context, I think it’s really a 2. TLDR - he made his bed, now he has to lie in it.
