www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/ben-davies-wanted-rangers-transfer-30844665Stoke City are keen on a late loan move for Rangers defender Ben Davies. City boss Alex Neil is keen to land his former Preston centre-half. Rangers are looking to try to move on the 28-year-old. It depends if the Championship side can meet their financial requirements and persuade Davies to return south of the border. Neil wants him in to bolster Stoke's promotion push. The former Liverpool player is surplus to requirements at Ibrox. And Michael Beale is keen to free up his wages. Davies’ departure would allow Rangers to launch a late loan bid for Leicester City’s Harry Souttar – although the clock is ticking on that one. The Australian international has fallen down the pecking order with the Foxes and is keen to get first-team football. It’s understood he wants to move to Rangers.

thats more like it...c'mon Jared What's it got to do with Jared? Does he not get involved in transfer negotiations as well as scouting?? does Peter Coates actually have a mythical penis capable of levelling buildings?...maybe not... but any opportunity to give him a random shoutout of encouragement...i'll take it...it's transfer deadline day

Souttar dropping down a level is strange Not getting a look in at lestah, European nights including Prague & Betis plus aris in Cyprus, (potentially more) + it's a club he supports + he'll be playing along side his brother.

Ricky Martin and the club secretaries will be dealing with everything at this late stage.

This one just makes total sense if we pull it off. Known quantity to Neil, likes him, in his prime age wise for a defender, and can play two roles at the back.

Not amazing but at least he's solid at this level, pretty good for how desperate we are.

I do love the current narrative re CBs.
Don’t you dare criticise Wilmot……but we need a new centre back 🤣
Davies is ideal to partner McNally.

Maybe with a few European games but I still think he would be better off staying and trying to come back up with Leicester. Not sure if he’s out of favour?

Not played for Rangers this season, so nothing more than a back up. Hope for a better CB who hasn't been mentioned here yet. 🥳

I do the current narrative re CBs. Don’t you dare criticise Wilmot……but we need a new centre back 🤣 Davies is ideal to partner McNally. Wilmot was and still might be our best CB so I think your criticism is misplaced. Competition isn’t to be feared… McNally looks loads better and you need as consistent a partnership you can get at centre back.
