The real question is, can he play CB? We are a couple of injuries away from asking midfielders to play in defence....

At 24 he’s been a bit of a journeyman. Time to settle down and prove people wrong?

This signing gives us the potential to use Campbell as a striker. Campbell has struggled in recent times upfront, but with the change of approach and better players around him, maybe it will suit him.
Usually when Campbell has been upfront we’ve just launched it to his head, which ain’t his game. Hopefully the new lads can unlock defences and create some chances.

Its all about options bit whichever we go i still feel we are one type light physical -quick strong able to hold the forst ball out of defence and also run the channels with muscle thats where i think the lad form WBA was perfect but the legume isn’t decide by Jan so we just need to bed down and be in decent position as we get to the turn and go again

Plenty of options for us with this lad, lots of flexibility. Hopefully he settles quickly and starts firing on all cylinders.

Away from on the break can see that At home generally when he has to have his back to goal when we are trying to break down a side defending deep then deffo not

Legumes are never decided by January. But parsnips benefit from a sharp frost.

I'm intrigued to see what the plan is with him. If he had the option of Greece, we must have sold it to him - involving a real chance of decent minutes. Chiquinho was on the fringes, so will Hak force his way into being more than a bit-part player So is he purely Vidigal back-up. That seems to be his main role over the course of his career - but definitely has other strings to his bow. He seems to operate in pretty much all the areas Bae would be looking to get minutes too. ![](https://cdn.theathletic.com/app/uploads/2022/08/24062815/positions_sead_haksabanovic_2021-22-1536x1536.png) ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230902/9671e3584c46346592e5c39172d8c82c.jpg)

I like that he appears extremely versatile and can cover most positions behind the striker and even further back, just hope that he doesn’t take too many minutes away from Bae in the process.

Does his signing and additional wing cover also potentially mean Campbell sees more time playing up top? Might explain the lack of additional striker signing.

Welcome Sean.
Cut out the tweets, get your head down, work hard at your game and you could be a star like Arni.

I’m sorry but it’s full on negligence. We’ve got wingers/ wide players coming out of our ears and we are 1 injury or suspension away from playing me. Dry your pants

Or could be seen that we’ve got cover in to protect the expectations of Bae, allow him to adapt with no pressure and the time he needs.

This lad can cover so many areas of the pitch is a bit if a no brainer to me. Has great ability despite some reading the comments of a couple of Celtic fans and coming to the conclusion that they they all think he's useless. He had a moan when dropped recently but personally don't mind a player who really wants to play rather than can can't be arsed and happy to sit on the bench . If he was ok for Ange then can't be bad. Seen him about 5 times and a bit unpredictable on the ball which is always a good thing as something we've been lacking, especially away .

Perhaps he kicked off because he felt he was deserving of playing time and wasn't getting any - 45 minutes this season I think and very little last year. At 27 you want to play not be sitting on the bench so understandable that he should kick off if he wasn't being allowed out but was obviously surplus to requirements. Neil's comments re the large squad and it being up to players to train and play well enough to see off their rivals suggests he would not promise minutes to anyone, just a fair crack of the whip.
