Stoke make "Undisclosed" bid of 3 million! You can trust Stoke to keep it undisclosed even when everyman and his dog knows exactly what we've paid and how much a week we're paying the works. Stoke don't do transparency. What is the benefit to the club if transparency over transfer fees? All it does is provide competitors with information. Interested parties can track spending over time via the published accounts but why make negotiations harder? When we did accidentally disclose the Lindsay fee paid to Barnsley they complained to the EFL as they believed it reduced the price Brentford paid for Pinnock.

Hes worth a few mill just to piss the Baggies off, the jumped up, knuckle dragging, thundercu*ts. And it would be quite sublime to retweet the hell out of that twa**ing "appreciation" Tweet, and shove it reet back up their arseholes. Sideways. Absolute bunch of spunk trumpets the lot of 'em. This one would be really sweet. Come on Pete. Unleash the beast. Is there a more fabulous sight than that going into the last 48 hours of a transfer window? 85 and still bouncing around like a 21 year old.

Bit disappointing he doesn't play in the Ecuadorian or Bangladeshi leagues.
We're getting a tad predictable.

Dunno it just seems like the right way to behave and it comes out anyway so why keep stakeholders in the dark. I suppose you either believe in transparency or you don't, transparency breeds trust.

Must admit that I am not the slightest bit interested in what the club pays to sign anyone, what they pay their players or what they sell them for. It's none of my business any more than wanting the same information about Marks and Spencer's business. Am interested in the product they are selling me and whether or not it is value for money. I am not a shareholder or stakeholder. I am just a customer and nowt more.

What has this guy done to get so excited about? I suspect the bid is simply to put pressure on PNE to do a deal for Osmajic. Why would we need to put pressure on Preston?

So you're just freely choosing to buy the product Stoke City have been offering for the last few years, when you could easily purchase something far superior from Manchester or Liverpool? There must be somat wrong with you

Just been reading the West Bromwich forum following our links with Asante. There seems to be a mixed reaction, the general consensus seems to be great attitude and work ethic but it's a shame his ability doesn't match it,
Brown replacement?

One of the baggies fans in reply to that tweet: Dave Porter @davepor53327788 · 27m I'd accept 3mill plus Gayle If we could somehow factor Gayle into the deal it would be a bonus. Dropped further & further down the pecking order. Might be complicated if Newcastle are still contributing to his wages. Maybe some kind of lump some could soften the blow. I believe he’s got a place in Stafford too. A way around the Newcastle contribution might be sending Gayle on loan to the boing boings for the rest of the season

Stoke make "Undisclosed" bid of 3 million! Looks like they are softening the ground to accepting something like £3.5m. These leaks allow them to claim they’ve talked us up from £2m whereas if the figure came out of the blue, the Baggies fans would be fuming even more. Personally, I think they are trying to get a bidding war going and trying to get the interest of other clubs

we do have quite a few players that have played for both clubs with mixed results, as long as BTA is better than the last striker we purchased from them I am for it Berahino- Disaster for us, TP had our pants down Odemwingie- Superb albeit via Cardiff Sawyers- never as good as i hoped for Pieters- Good for both any others?? Tony Ford Gary Hackett Brain Talbot Gary Bannister Think there was also a keeper, and probably more. James O'Connor also

So, we shouldn't pay more than we got for Brown, including sign-ons and agent fees. I'm thinking Leris is the real Brown replacement. Judging by the comments on the WBA forum he'll be slated as "not the kind of player to take us forward" is a short time if he signs for us. And they'll be right! He's a Millwall type player.

I've seen a lot more positive about BTA than negatives. And he seems to be improving all the time. Considering he's spent less than a year at this level.

You have to wonder why we weren’t looking to get him when he was playing well and looking promising when he was at Salford, an hour away and available for 250k instead of wasting money on has been like Gayle.
