Some big teams yes but I have kept an eye on that league for a while and there aren't many teams that do get over the 1000 barrier, Workington who went up and regularly got between 7-900 in Leeks league still average the same...I think it could depend on what happens to Stoke and Vale because it effects Leeks crowds! Leek have traditionally over the years played at a higher level than what they are now so I dont think they will be out of their depth at all. On another note Stafford have gone to the dogs lately. No your right I think If and when we go up we should fare well as we have a real solid team!

Great to see Leek Town doing so well. They have a really talented young manager in Josh Brehaut who did a fantastic job with various age groups in the Stoke academy.

They have been stuck in that tier for far too long really. Shows that if you drop down levels, not always that straightforward to get back up.

I watched them at Radcliffe this season and they were absolutely dire. Think peak Wimbledon but with less talent, aimless punts up to a target man who was just chasing shadows, it was baffling..........

Amazed Stoke didn't do something to keep him. Top bloke, astute, and has Leek playing football abd also able to mix it.

Was maybe good for him as he probably didn’t see a pathway within the academy while certain people were still there (and have since left). Would love to see him back there now!

I have a ticket for Cardiff next Saturday but local Derby beckons Hanley Town v Leek Town. No brainer think Leek will be getting a lot more of my support next season if we do go down.

Just to note that the only Sunday football league left going in Stoke is the Coors league and is very strong. They are dominating the staffs and sentinel Sunday cup competitions .

Went to see Hanley v Leek today. Decent game and got a bit feisty in that second half.
More people really do need to get out and support grass roots football and local non league. Far far better value and enjoyment to have with little emotional attachment.
I've not been to a Stoke away game for 4 years and do not miss it. Not hard given what we've served up in that time.

Two good results on the bounce for Stafford Rangers, a 1-1 draw away at 3rd placed Hyde last week, and a 2-1 injury time win at home to 7th placed Guiseley today, now only three points from safety with a game in hand.

Was at runcorn today with hednesford and as bad as we are ,and while not flashy like the majority of this league runcorn looked a very solid side.anthony kay is top draw at this level an knapper who used to be at kidsgrove is a cracking player.should be an interesting one at leek next sat.as for hednesford,as it stands we are one of two teams getting a reprieve for next season but we still probably need 3/4 wins to make sure of that and it's hard to see where they will come from with a very tough run in.

Crazy to think of Hednesford at step 5 of the non league pyramid if they go down. They could be in the same league/level as Brocton if you go down and they go up. Its a shame, enjoyed the Stafford v Hednesford derbies.

Unlike a lot of our fan base I'm not one who thinks because of our name we "deserve" to be higher but its very hard to imagine playing at step 5.weve got new owners now but the whole club needs a reboot.were still getting 600/700 on a regular basis despite the mess we've been in for a few years now but that will disappear if we end up in the Midlands league.the reprieve is our only hope of staying up but even that is not a great feeling with it been on the back of nuneaton and a few other clubs issues.yeh asmuch as its a rivalry, always enjoyed the stafford games.weve got chasetown in our league but they dont have the same feel to them.stafford seem to be having a really good go at staying up though when a few weeks ago it looked like that wouldn't happen.

Yeah we had a two week break without a game and managed to bring in a few players and move a few out, so far it seems to have worked. I was shocked that Harry Harris was sacked, he seemed to have brought in a few good players for the level and had good non league contacts. What did you make of letting him go and bringing in the former Newcastle Town manager?

The pitch wasn’t brilliant but the game was at least entertaining and a tad fiesty as you say. I’m giving serious thought to missing my first Stoke home game in years to go and watch Leek next Saturday instead. Mind you every time we’ve played Runcorn and I have been Leek have lost so maybe I will suffer Stoke instead and hopefully Leek will win.

Have they had money investment, they seem to have come from nowhere and turned up at our place in a coach?

Tense, exciting game at Hanley, with the pitch making football difficult and it was a game pf second balls and niggles. Leek were worthy winners, and the biggest game for many a year is next Saturday. Shame that Stoke are at home, and the Leek v Runcorn game is now all ticket.

Going to watch Stoke because I don’t want to be an omen at Leek. Every time I watch them play Runcorn Leek lose so hopefully Leek win and even bigger hopefully so do Stoke🤔

What did you make of letting him go and bringing in the former Newcastle Town manager? Harry did a good job when he came in an had the fans on his side,a run of a few losses and I think the new owners panicked with 10 games to go an decided to make a change.weve already lost one lad who harry brought in and could well be a few more.Paul Moore isn't somebody I'm that familiar with ,although we did beat his newcastle team twice this season which is worrying ! I spoke to him after the game sat and he seems a decent enough guy but as shown on our media sites,a massive amount of fans turned against him after the performance on sat and his interview after where he basically called our keeper out on two of the goals ,which having watched the highlights weren't his fault and he made another 11 saves you can see on the footage.weve signed a couple of ex league players, apparently by our new director of football who they haven't even announced ,ex villa forward nathan delefouneso is one and he is apparently on £600 a week ,which if true is absolutely mental ,and the two games he's played so far he's not looked the slightest bit interested.depressing times at the minute as was last year but whatever happens on the pitch ,hopefully the summer will be a massive change for the club when the new owners start with the plans they have.

Yes, I was really pleased about the home win on Saturday. My old Dad lives in Stafford and is still just about up to going to Marston Road when the weather is not too cold, and I have always really enjoyed it. I am off to see Rangers away at Bradford Park Avenue this Saturday afternoon, as it is pretty easy to get to from here - as you will be aware, an archetypal 'relegation 6 pointer'. I was convinced a month ago that they had had it, but hopefully with a good result on Saturday they might just pull off staying up. Marske United's troubles have done them a favour no doubt, although I take no pleasure in seeing any non-league side struggling financially.
