She wants charging! Preferably with a cattle prod Maybe it's charged "with" and not charged "for" ... Prepositions can be tough even in the native language. An electric shock, that is. The worst thing to come out of Sweden since ABBA😉

The worst thing to come out of Sweden since ABBA😉 I don't own a single ABBA record yet. I have thought about at least buy some Greatest hits compilation. I think the instrumentation possibly isn't my cup of tea, but some of the melodies are ok. The most wanted and played song is "Dancing queen" as expected, but I would mention "Knowing Me, knowing You". Sweden have loads of music exports obviously, my favourites are the bands Atomic Swing, Soundtrack of our lives and Jeremy Irons & the Ratgang Malibus.

Weird and typically swedish ... I banged my tip of the index finger to a heavy door and want to have the joint checked.
First I tried to make an appointment through a booking service online last week. I got an answer saying they had no doctor appointments until August even though they are almost ten doctors at my local health clinic. So I got the advice to book through their own booking service instead. I've tried that all week without success. At 07.15 the times you can choose between to different doctors are presented. Within seconds there's no time left. Pick the doctor, pick the appointment time wanted, pay ... all has to be done in seconds.
The one with the fastest internet always wins.
At the beginning they had a system where people went to the clinic physically and stood in a queue to get their numbers and if they were on time and lucky they could get a number and an appointment. They abandoned that system to a system where you try at home the next day again if it failed.
Sweden The land of queues.

Yesterday I found out by an article that said: in Sweden we treat most ortopedic issues with exercises and the physiotherapists have loads to do. In other countries in Europe they treat these problems by surgery to a much higher degree. The difference is great.
I didn't know that before.

LATEST
The Police has decided to permit some person to burn the Torah and the Bible tomorrow outside the Israeli Embassy in Sweden.
For how long will the madness continue?
If people have problems with some books, discuss them instead. That would be real freedom of SPEECH. A constructive debate on the radio or on the tv, to see what differs, to see what we have in common. I would see it, I guess. Gathering the explanations and views for real from other people doesn't harm.
Come on You people!

The person who had decided to burn the Torah and the Bible at the Israeli Embassy yesterday decided to change his plans as the good muslim he was. According to their beliefs it isn't good to do any burning of any holy book.
A sensible man for once.

Have only heard the name Dark Tranquility, not listened yet.

LATE TV NEWS extra 🇸🇪 Tue 23.30
The Tidö-political parties, our government that is plus the Sweden Democrats, have held late meetings now. They will increase the punishment all over the place. And in many cases DOUBLE the time on prison the criminals will spend, a 100% big increase!
Small kids can be held in custody and get punishment too, if not prison they will have to do community service tasks like cleaning pavements, toilets or removing graffiti while the passing citizens can get the opportunity to laugh at them.
They will follow some of China's ideas with an increased punishment if you commit the same sort of crime again and again, like stealing a car now and then or using some illegal substance over and over again, so the time can be doubled and tripled and worse every time. Before we had a discount system, exactly the opposite to what we now will have.
Petra Lundh has the national task to look at the scale of punishment and suggest adjustments, crime by crime.
And Gunnar Strömmer, M Party, conservative, will present the whole package on Wednesday to the press.
A paradigm shift, they say. It sure is.

Evening News Wed 🇸🇪
16.000 new persons to be employed as prison guards. More prisoners in the same cell. And many more prisons will be built in 2 years. But it won't be enough, so they will send criminals to other countries, as they've promised earlier. Yes, they have looked at Norway since they had room, but the Conservative minister just laughed to the host's question. They will go for the cheapest options. What it means we don't know yet. Nicaragua? Tchad? Afghanistan? Bulgaria and Uzbekistan have been mentioned before, it seems to be cheap there, more of working camps than hotels.

Musik are you Swedish or do you just live in Sweden? What got you supporting Stoke? Yes, I saw them on TV here as a kid and that's how it all started, the old team, Banks & Co. It has perhaps been a bit cyclical. I followed the version with Stein and Biggins intensely. And now since our time in the Prem, Shawcross, Shaqiri, Arnautovic ... up to today's version with Laurent, Campbell and the rest.

Iraq and Sweden in conflict.
All Swedish companies will be stopped doing business in and with Iraq. The Swedish Ambassador is thrown out from Bagdad.
Why? The police allowed some people to burn the flag of Iraq and the Koran just outside the Iraqi Embassy earlier here today. The police say they had a great dialogue with the burners and are happy with the solution, before the burning went on.

I did a brief bit of reading on Swedens crime last night and I can see that gun crime has increased alot as well as gang behaviour. And I believe alot of this is maybe in areas which have alot of Syrians and other groups?
It is a strange one especially when compared to other European countries with high immigration. I can sort of understand some of these crazy policies better now having done a little research.
I think the sending prisoners away thing isn't always unsuccessful. As I know Norway has exchanged some prisoners with the Netherlands due to their continued decrease in crime in the NL. And in these instances the prisons are quite similar. I'd be more concerned if Sweden followed the Danish route or worse by sending prisoners to places such as Kosovo where the living standards in prisons are much worse.
The other thing I'd be intrigued to know more about is where the new prisons are coming from and who is funding them. I've watched a few documentaries on American private prisons where they make alot of money from the state and that there were corrupt judges sending petty criminals to jail so that the private prison owners would see more profit. I believe the judges were even bribed to do this in some instances.
The cynic in me wonders if these new prisons may be private but hopefully not.

I believe the judges were even bribed to do this in some instances. The cynic in me wonders if these new prisons may be private but hopefully not. At first this problem was concentrated to the suburban areas in the largest cities. Now there's not a single place, city or village, completely free from it, from south to north, according to some tv program at the beginning of this year. I wouldn't blame a particular group. The left wing politicians in the former government had a kind of "lemonade and bun"-policy during many years to deal with the problems, according to the current government. The tougher policy from the new government (M+KD+L+SD) is much appreciated by the people. As I might have written, the model in Norway isn't likely to be of much concern to Sweden. They want the cheapest option. Some have suggested Afghanistan cause it wouldn't take much to convince them by money. Worse than Denmark I would say. About building new prisons ... I doubt it very much. There was a time when they said they would build 100.000 new flats but basically nothing happened. Part of the big plan probably. Why build if the flats will be empty? If they said 16000 new cells as the plan yesterday, it will end up with 1600. In Sweden it's the taxpayer's money. I would be hugely surprised if some privat person or company splashed the money to build a prison - and the government paying for the rent. It would probably cost 10.000 times more per night per criminal compared to Afghanistan.

I did a bit of reading and it's like this:
In Sweden you CAN'T be an anonymous witness.
This is very unusual, in most countries you can be anonymous, to get a bit of personal security. I assume you can be anonymous in England?!
Also, in Sweden you can get a new identity from the state, in particular if you're a rapist or murderer. It's almost impossible if you have witnessed.
🤮🤮🤮
Sweden: A land historically ruled by lunatics.

This is because a few people burned Holy Books in this country.

According to the latest opinion poll our government parties and the support party only got 37% altogether now.
It looks like a defeat in 2026.
I wonder why. Most people believe it has to do with the burning of the Holy Books. How they have handled that. And from what I've heard today, no change in sight.
But I can think of some other things as well.
Simultaneously, I can see some things that would have helped the government to success, things they've accomplished, so I'm really surprised by the figure 37%.

Yesterday, the boss of the sort of nationwide Job Centers in Sweden, I don't know what political party he votes for, said "the Swedish Crona gets weaker and weaker every week now and it's a good thing since the industry sector employs more and more immigrants. We have never had so many immigrants in the labour force as we have now."
This is wrong, so stupidly wrong in so many ways!"🤣
First of all, it's no wonder we have more immigrants now in the labour force than before, since we have never had more immigrants in our population. So relative numbers next time pls ...
A weaker currency is never a good thing. Never. Where did you get that from?

I’m going to Sweden next month for a few days cycling - Helsingborg and Malmo. Any recommendations? 🙂 I've thought about this a few days, but I will come back to it if I can think about something special down south. I would perhaps focus on Helsingborg instead of Malmö though. However, i haven't been in any of those places for decades.

Film "experts".
Actually they always have the opposite view compared to mine. For instance the film Taken with Liam Neeson from 2008 I just saw on TV here for the first time. It was given 1/5 or 2/5 from all our major newspapers.
I must say it's a 5/5 movie. And I don't even like the action genre. Thrillers on the other hand are a favourite.

I don't know if this is just a typical Swedish thing only, but the most common question in every interview when someone or some team have won a match in some kind of sport is this, the journalist always ask: "How will you celebrate this?"
I'm not kidding. That's the most common question.
F@cking moron!!! It's their job for Heaven's sake! They never ask a bus driver after their work shift, how will you celebrate you were on time at every stop today on your route? Or the teacher in French, you held three lessons today and one of them with a new class, and they also had a test that went well, how will you celebrate this?
I would understand if a tv host all of a sudden got a gold in pole vault that he/she would celebrate.

The Swedish Riksdag (Parliament) have instituted a new Reporting Law, so now all teachers and doctors have to report any person contacting them with no personal papers or id card or passport, so they immediately can be thrown out of the country. If they don't report them they wil lose their license.
An estimated 100.000 to 200.000 people are expected to be out sooner or later through this, but some mean it could 500.000 or even more.
The last counting of the population said we have 10.300.000 people in Sweden. However, there are indications it could be 11.200.000.

A new law
Denmark will forbid all burning of all Holy books, The Koran, The Bible, The Torah. I suppose they include Bhagavad-Gita, Mormon's book, Shrimad-Bhagavatam and others.
Hopefully Sweden will follow. However it may take more time here.
The purpose with burning books are always wrong, no matter if they are religious books or not. The symbol for doing it is a dicatorship who are afraid of intellectuals. History has shown it so many times. A parody. Furthermore, it has nothing to do with freedom at speech in the first place, since noone actually speaks.
A bit like Covid-19. Sweden wait to see what others do first.

Latest Sweden News
Former Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson SocialDemocrats from our former left wing-government says it's unfortunate the Danish people and the Danish government have come to that conclusion, leaving Sweden all alone and even more vulnerable.
Our present right wing-government and law minister Gunnar Strömmer says it's the wrong conclusion to have; we have to wait to see what our own investigation says on the matter. And furthermore, he says they have been right all the time then, and that the Danish decision was expected.
