It’s remarkable how little variation there is in our fixtures year to year. Always play the same teams around the same time. I suppose it’s all the factors they have to put into the super computer. Yes, very little is random

Yes, very little is random Looking at it objectively, I suppose Stoke is a relatively short journey for Swansea and will always be a midweek. I wonder what the thinking behind Millwall away being in the summer is. Presumably something to do with it being easier to police?

The Rotherham game isn’t televised 🤣 What genius came up with the 5pm Sunday slot? What a lovely journey for the Ipswich fans.

It has nothing to do with distance. Teams look to play teams where they'll get the biggest crowds on Saturday's & the smallest crowds midweek. Stoke & Swansea have zero interest in each other & will therefore be a long way down the list of "We'd like this on a Saturday please", hence us nearly always playing them midweek.

You also have to take into account which other teams who're on "These two can't play at home on the same day" lists are playing on which days.

Well, given that our opening day fixture form is fucking abysmal, (we surely have the worst record of ANY club in the world, calling all statto's)... I was hoping for one of the fancied teams away for a free hit.
Losing at home to one of the relegation favourites does not bode well for a good start the season.

They’ll fancy three Points against a team that had never met each other 5 weeks previous or even less and thats on the manager and Tricky so no time to prepare etc wont cut it at 4.45 on the that Saturday evening could be the earliest time things get ugly followed by a thumping at resurgent Ipswich in theior first home game would make Watford a very very trick game big physical and completely dominated us twice last season

We did win our last home opener, v Reading, but yes it's really poor Conversely we usually win our last game of the season (but not last time)

It's heartening to know we will have a full squad, embedded in playing with each other and raring to go for the August and September fixtures.

Unless it's moved The nearest game (29th) is Watford away, so other than sneaking out to have a quick check on the phone, moving that game to the Saturday wouldn't be a problem (to me).

It's heartening to know we will have a full squad, embedded in playing with each other and raring to go for the August and September fixtures. Understand the sarcasm but in practice what do you do? Wait till you can get the players who you want, the better players, or do you go out and sign any old rubbish (like Birmingham have just done with Roberts) to fill up the squad? Given the sheer numbers we need to sign there has to be a balance this summer The 3 or 4 may have signed already is a start however there will be a staggering of signings as the window goes along with a flurry of loans on the last day Transfer window system is wank, leads to this rubbish If we do have to have one it should be over by end of June at the very latest but that won't happen unless all if Europe does the same just get rid of it, end the stockpiling of players and the trolly dash Restrict number of loans out a club can make transfers more about clubs and players not about agents as it is now

Opening game v Rotherham, we had better put our chances away this time, because you can see them scoring off their 1 chance like last season.
Lose this one, AN would be under pressure from day 1.
