Let's not forget that most on show tonight went Neil's signings and that they are what he inherited. Not an excuse but reality of the situation

I suppose the best thing you can say is that the match was of no consequence. Another season ending exercise in futility. Like 5 of the 6 Championship seasons which preceded it. The only season whoich has offered some kind of half interesting denoument was the Jones/MON relegation battle campaign. We shouldn’t accept “the match was one no consequence”, every bloody match should have some consequence. There were players tonight, whose time at Stoke, and probably their chance to play football at a decent level, was on the line tonight, and they failed, miserably. This is a clear indicator of where the club falls in these players hierarchy of importance, so the majority of them can go. Terrible stuff.

That was as bad as anything since we got relegated back to the Championship! Can't believe how bad Baker was. I don't want to see him again. Same goes for Celina, Thompson or even Powell. Just not interested one iota. Bit harsh on Thompson. He looks interested and up for it. He's just an absolute dog shit footballer.

Sums the night up when the only cheer of the night was watching an Ipswich last minute penalty in the concourse. If that was freshing things up we truly are fucked!!!!!!!

To be fair Thompson is the least of our worries. At least he tried to pass forward at pace, which some don't. He always looks for a positive pass, some come off, some don't, but he cares.

Not sure he always looks for a positive pass? I’ve always thought he’s really quite negative and has zero urgency. Horses for courses I suppose.

In some ways I'm glad it's happened. It just goes to prove how much we're relying on loan players.
Take out Smallbone, Pearson, Hoever then that was out strongest XI on paper (minus Gayle and Campbell even though Ty played most of the match)
I might be reading to much into this but could it be that Neil played a weekend to emphasis how important it is for Coates to get his cheque book out for one of the loan players? Potentially guessing at Smallbone???

Well, that's the final dregs of the March-inspired optimism gone.
Don't know why the hell anyone bothers.
That was completely unacceptable and hopefully the death knell for a few Stoke careers

I'm sorry but that's on the manager. How many more bastard times does he have to launch the ball at Nick Powell to realise he isn't a target man?
Play him off Gayle if needs be and play football FFS.
It couldn't be any piss eyed worse.
Diabolical football. Utter, utter dross.

The poor people who took time off work and paid good money to travel to see the game, bought food and drinks, petrol or transport, ticket money - and are probably not home yet.
Be ashamed stoke, you owe a lot of apologies for such an embarrassing shit storm.

The manager should hand his wages back for that shite. It’s great talking about next season but 17,500 Stoke fans gave up their time and money to watch that garbage…… AN is getting a free ride at the moment. Might as well go on our holidays and forget about Stoke. Home form under Neil is as bad as you wouldn’t wish for. Next season he needs to sort this shit out otherwise he can fuck off and we’ll get a dinosaur in who can start kicking some arses

Looking at Powell, Tymon, Baker, Thompson, Celina. All players who should be fighting to show they are good enough, none of them gave a shit
None of them have pride in their performances, players like this are the reason for 6 years of failure.
Get rid of them all and get more Ben Pearsons in

He’s looking at those he can’t decide what to do with.
He knows this transfer window is a big deal.
It was shit of course, but when has a game vs Wigan not been shit? Barring Car Beestons amazing goal at Springfield cow shed back in the day

It felt like a preseason friendly - absolutely no effort or commitment. It looks like the majority of the players know they don't have a future at the club - either that or don't want one. The season can't end soon enough and the decks well and truly cleared. Massive job to do in the summer.

To me it’s fine. Nothing needs to be blurred come the end of this season. Its not been remotely good enough for a very long time and if the management team go into the summer with that in mind so much the better. No excuses the moment next season starts.

Don't worry. I expect John Coates is still happy about the direction he feels Stoke are following! John should nail his colours to the mast & dare to suggest Stoke should be top 6 by end of October or else. No question As for the team last night you could quite easily take 6 players out & happily not see them again

Just a random thought, but it is often said at this stage of the season that the players are already mentally on the Beach. Perhaps we should confiscate their passports and only return them ready for their holiday if the club are happy that the players have been putting in an effort and contributing to the team.

The amount of times they over hit the ball to a player that they had no chance of getting to,for a Pro footballer who can't or doesn't know how much power he needs to put on the ball is mind blowing.
Plus how many times do they punt the ball up to nobody and it goes out for a goal kick?

Forgot we were playing today. Apparently so did the squad. I purposely chose not to watch it, and it was 100% the correct decision. What a rancid football club we all follow. Makes you wonder what the fuck goes on down there.
