I think we might well be giving you some transfer money this summer. Yeah, I can see you signing Pritchard. Has he been dropped?

That honestly is a ridiculous comparison So you are saying you would rather play a striker who has scored one goal who is at the end of his career and probably getting worse each game Than start playing a youngster who is at the start of his career and will improve over time by playing more. If he good enough for the bench then he is good enough to play at least a half. To be honest he might only score a goal this season but he offers something we don't have in the other strikers. He looks a nuisance around the box and will provide different opportunities. I'm not comparing him am I? Jeez! I'm showing how hard it is to score goals at the age of 17. Hes played less than 10 mins of first team football yet he is definitely better than Gayle? The real irony is you deride Gayle's scoring prowess and then confirm it doesn't matter if Lowe doesnt score? That's because Lowe is the future and will only get better, Gayle isn't 🤔

Yeah, I can see you signing Pritchard. Has he been dropped? He has injury problems and can rarely play 90 minutes. Was often taken off after 60 minutes at league one level too.

For those who think that Lowe and Tezgel are too young for more than a few minutes at the end of a game, the guy that scored for Brighton against us during the week, Evan Ferguson, turned eighteen a few weeks ago. That was his sixth goal this season - from a small number of games. He made his senior club debut in Ireland at fourteen. He will probably make his international debut against France in a few weeks.
If you're good enough, you're old enough.

Sarkic Houver Tuanzebe Wilmot Sterling Laurent Pearson Smallpiece Campbell Brown Tymon Not a bad suggestion that I know I'll get shot down but on Tuesday's evidence I'd have Clucas over Tymon. We can't play both Hoever and Sterling so it will have to be Fox or Tymon at left back unless you say Bonham's performance earned him another chance. I'd go for Hoever if Sterling as it looked went off with a bit of a muscle problem. If fit Tuanzebe who is, like Sterling, out of contract in the summer should be the first loan on the team sheet. Have a good run and convince him we could get promoted next season he could be the new Shawcross.

Sorted

Speaking from experience, you do. And I like it. If they banned alcohol in the away end there'd be uproar. Treat football fans like petulant children and they'll act like it. The issue is that for non-vapers it's pretty invasive as you can't really get away from it in a seat. On the concourse it's slightly different but don't think some folk would be disciplined enough to not get them out once back in their seats. Understand that, and agree completely. I'm talking about, if I went to Sunderland, I'd want my vape for there and back. I'm not about to smuggle it up my pert for my age bottom to get into the ground! : )

As well as ‘the new manager’ bounce Im pretty sure there’s a ‘ex-manager’ bounce. I fear we may see it fairly soon.

For every Evan Ferguson there are countless wonderkids who disappear into the lower leagues or out of pro football altogether. Lowe isn't even a regular for the u21s yet. Tezgel is further on but he's injured.

Don't want to be a "negative ninny" here, but would sure take a tie given the hostile environment. Don't think Sunderland can be relied upon to just be apathetic about this. Bet there's going to be some interesting songs/chants!

For anyone’s who’s travelling up today, the m1 is slow just before Chesterfield.
Haway, Where do away fans usually drink on match days? We will be heading across from Gateshead at around 1ish… is the metro or taxi the better option? (There’s 5 of us going the match)
Cheers

They’re coming off the back of 3 disappointing results and have 4 horrible fixtures after us (Norwich, Sheff Utd, Luton, Burnley) so with the Neil pantomime factored in, I’d expect them to be going all out to batter us.

We will be heading across from Gateshead at around 1ish… is the metro or taxi the better option? (There’s 5 of us going the match) Cheers A fair few away fans congregate to the Colliery Tavern on match days (just across the road from the stadium). Most pubs (apart from The Wheatsheaf) will be happy to accept you drinking in them as long as you don’t act like a tit. You might get a few plonkers trying to wind you lot up about Alex Neil, but don’t rise to it and you should be fine. www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/colliery-tavern-away-fans.591067/Metro will be cheaper and quicker than a taxi/Uber, and The Stadium of Light station is only a short walk away from the Colliery Tavern. I’m assuming you’d be going back to Gateshead or Newcastle after the game - in which case it’ll be best for you to get the metro from The Stadium of Light station. St Peter’s station is actually closer but doesn’t head to Newcastle after the match.

So Wilmot basically plays lb while Tymon is missing in action leaving a bloke who's hardly played for two years to play cb on his own. Looks like a recipe for disaster to me. Sunderland will just target our left side. Fox is poor on the ball but he at least knows how to defend and should play instead of Tymon.

If we play 4 3 3, Fox has to play LB or Sterling as he is better on the left than However.. Anyone but Tymon.
