With that tremendous kick he has, it should stop opposition defences pushing up to the halfway line to stop our attacks. If they did that, it would simply become a game of the speed of their defence against the speed of our attackers getting to the ball first. It's a very powerful weapon in the armoury to have.

You're right. Hardly ever see Cheshire cheese and I haven't seen any proper Cheshire cheese for over 30 years. And the only mature Cheddar I've found lately that's like the stuff we used to get is online Genuine Cheddar should still be available. Most Supermarkets should stock Wookey Hole "Cave Aged" Cheddar in small wrapped blocks. That's what we Somerset locals tend to go for! Edit: On one of our more popular websites you can actually watch a round Cheddar Cheese ageing, by virtue of a webcam ! And who says that Somerset locals are slow and dull! Yeah to be fair I haven't really looked very hard, I tend to just shop in Lidl these days. I suppose what I really meant is its not widely available as kinda the main thing on sale that everyone buys. That Wookey Hole cave aged stuff sounds good, never heard of that. And I agree with what you imply, I would never say Somerset locals are slow and dull, they are related to the ancient Sumerians, and are highly cultured! At the old Glastonbury festival, before it went all commercial, there was always this local farmer turned up, with a trailer full of proper scrumpy, sold it for £4 a gallon, best cider I can rememember drinking. He said it was the real traditional brewed stuff and I believed him, nice bloke, definitely not slow and dull. Mind you that could have been the effect of that scrumpy...

Ouch. You must have Teflon fingertips! Bought some Rotosound jazz bass 77's soon after I started playing as a yoof and couldn't believe the tension. Mind you it was a cheap no-mark bass at the time Yeah they're mental, like stringing your bass with train tracks. I've got Thomastic-Infeld Jazz on my Precision and upright, great sound and much easier on the fingers. Incidentally Davethebass - is that a longhorn Jazz in your avatar photo? I've got one of these too... Ironically, given Dave's other interest on this thread, I used to think it was like stringing it with cheese wire

He's played 70-odd senior games at Wolves, Birmingham, Livingston and Shrewsbury - plus 50-odd u21 games. Him playing 70 year old seniors does not fill me with confidence to be honest.

Probably Roger Wilkins of Mudgeley. He's still going, and during Covid he got into trouble for serving and selling Cider to visitors on his farm. Two or three times he was found to have an "illegal" number of visitors/ guests on site but defended himself by describing the events as a necessary commercial tasting.

There is one private farm in Cheshire making genuine, traditional Cheshire Cheese. I used to go to the vintage car racing at Oulton Park to see my favourite car, the ERA's performing and used to always stop at a cafe/greasy spoon nr. Tarporley for a Cheese and tomato crusty cob with local Red Cheshire cheese. Best I ever tasted and still is!

The smell of old racing fuel. Good English food. Watching ‘real’ drivers manhandle huge lumps of cars around, still in my eyes, the most beautiful race tack ANYwhere.

Considered not good enough for us by some but then signs for Premier League Wolves 🤔 Probably as a second/third choice. I personally wouldn’t have minded Bentley. I don’t know what to make of this guy. I was almost excited until his shot stopping stats came to be noted. I don’t like the idea of bringing in a goalkeeper less experienced than Bursik. However, hopefully he hits the ground running.

Big move this, for far too long our goalkeeper has been useless and we've yet to have a really decent one since relegation.
Hopefully we've found one, will make a massive difference

A keeper at stoke who can kick and throw it. Who'd have thought it.

I liked most of what is shown in video, however I noticed he didn't catch a single cross which all of them were an option to do so.

It's just never fills me with confidence. In one of the clips he punches it into danger zone and luckily defender was there to clear it. That being said everything which is said about him seems positive.
