I do worry about posters on here...... dear god
Or we can have a crap season this year (already is) wait for FPP regulations to ease and splash wild amounts of cash on players we will no doubt ruin... loads to look forward to! I can assure you i don't want to be a league one thanks and get 10k crowds

How long did it'd take Sunderland to get out of Div1?

Not this thought process again! I remember similar nonsense being bandied around about how relegation to The Championship would sort the club out.

How long did it'd take Sunderland to get out of Div1? We were in league one for four seasons. Play off finalists first year 8th second year (PPG due to covid) Play off semi-finalists third year Play off winners fourth year Managers were Jack Ross, Phil Parkinson, Lee Johnson & then Alex Neil. Some of the football served up was proper shit.

You can use it as a reset- Leicester, Soton and Norwich all used it as the springboard for a quickfire, confidence boosting charge up the leagues where they (for the most part) haven't looked back since. Leicester gained 100+ points. The difference is, we'd twat about losing 4-0 to sides like Cambridge for four years, make Port Fail look like Bayern Munich twice a season and bring in Steve Evans on a 10 year contract.

It’s seems an horrendous thought, but is it the reset we need? NO 🥺🥺🥺🥺

It's a great idea in fairness. Go down, release a statement about an overhaul with a fake apology, appoint a complete no mark who has never been promoted but talks a good game, throw a load of money at him and come back up. What on earth could go wrong with that plan? Nailed it. Um…….have we tried that one before 😀😀😀😀

How long did it'd take Sunderland to get out of Div1? Yet they'll be back in the prem long before we are.

It is not a good idea at all, getting relegated never ever is. We were using our relegation from the premier league for a great reset I remember some fans pining for it and look how that turned out. If we went down to league one now at this time it would be the worst thing to happen to our club in my lifetime and possibly in the history of the club.

I question the sanity of anyone who thinks going down a division will do us good. Jesus Christ.

In my 45 years of supporting Stoke, relegation has never benefitted us and I would never expect it to.

I’m glad almost all are in agreement that relegation isn’t the solution. I’m not sure what gets us out of the rut we’re in. The fans need to get back on side before anything gets better but that doesn’t look promising. I wouldn’t want to be in a relegation battle but having a few must win games towards the end of the season could really get the fans back. (if they win them) Leicester’s relegation battle was what they needed to really push on.
