Tymon is of no use whatsoever in a back four, pace or not. He has absolutely no positional sense. Fox although limited combines much better with Fosu and actually knows how to defend. If the plan going forward is to stick with a back four we need to move Tymon on if possible. I actually agree to that, but if we switch to wingbacks he is good at this level though! That's why I think we should cash in and sell IF we move to a back four. We seem to have one wingback and one fullback for both left and right which isn't ideal if we get an injury. In a back four I think Sterling and Fox are fine but Tymon and Clarke are liabilities. Similarly Fox can't play in a wingback system. Sterling can probably do both but I think he looks better at fullback. We need to commit to one system or the other and get two players for each position.

Campbell for whatever reason looked up for it yesterday.
I may of not noticed it before but his knee had vertical strapping yesterday, so there be an element that his knee is either still not perfect or physiologically it is playing on his mind.
Had either of those penalties been given, yesterday could have turn into a whitewash and been good for Campbell’s and Delaps confidence.
I know Delap is not everybody’s favourite child but for a kid 19 I thought yesterday he played well apart from the mistake that led to the ball being turned over before their second goal. Having said that Smallbone had his part to play in the ball getting turned over through his lack of intestinal fortitude in 50-50 balls.

He tries to take the ball on the run all the time and more often than not it just bounces off him. Maybe he just needs to keep it more simple and control the ball first and lay it off. I thought Smallbone was ok yesterday until he s**t himself on that 50/50. He's done it a number of times now which I think is why he's slated so much. That incident aside (and I'm not condoning it) he was much better than Baker who looks completely lost.

It was his one half decent performance in half a dozen or so. It’ll be new year before another. That's the spirit! 😁 It’s what usually happens. Obviously I hope to be proved wrong!

It’s what usually happens. Obviously I hope to be proved wrong! It's been the story of his form since his return from that very serious injury he suffered, granted, but he was wasn't only on song occasionally, immediately before the injury struck. I know he's been back for a while, but as someone who's suffered a severe knee injury myself, I can attest to how much time it takes to get back the majority of it's function. It took me years and that was with alot of input and daily exercise.

Campbell always looks so much better in that system playing off a striker wide than he does when we play wing backs. He gets more time to turn and get at defenders, when he is upfront in the wing back system he struggles a lot more with having to play with his back to goal.

Yeah, playing a central role doesn't seem to suit him and his style anywhere near as well. One would hope the manager has noticed this but I won't be holding my breath on that.

Another positive game for TC.. ok he missed a sitter when through on goal near the end, but who cares it didn't matter. He broke up their attacking play effectively, played combatorially ( even had a square-up with one of them! ) and generally gave them something to think about all game. Good game for the forward line in general today in fact

Last two weeks he's looked like he was getting back to his pre injury best. In fact all round as you say, especially in competing for headers, possibly better. Although prior to the World Cup he was generally dreadful a bit like he was when he first broke into the first team. Looked knackered and half arsed.

But I'll forgive him that because he's starting to come good and as frustrating as Delap can be trying to fight everyone he's starting to bag as well. Happy days are here again. Maybe.

The whole side with the exception of Fosu (am hoping he just had an off day) has clearly put in extra hard work in last two games hence coming from behind twice Campbell played pretty good too not just grafting

It's not perfect but the team has improved and Campbell's is the stand out individual improvement.

Him and Delap look to be linking better. Even with the luck of the goal today for Delap, they were close by and working together. Good to see.

To be honest, I think he made the right decision to put his foot through it and it ate up a bit of time having to retrieve the ball too.

To get the best out of Campbell you have to play him in a system where he can play exclusively in the opposition half of the pitch without having to do the defensive side of the game, whether that be wide right up or front.
He’s a match winner, and whilst there will never be another Ricardo Fuller he could become that type of an impact player….

An encouraging couple of performances since the resumption. He has flaws in his game but he’s got the invaluable and all too rare quality of composure around the penalty area that makes him very useful and dangerous. The championship doesn’t have many forwards who play with their heads up.

Useless, again. God forbid he’d go in for a 50/50. did he have that much? Could have done better if he had shot instead of crossed in the first half, but all he had was the opportunity of pressurising the burnley back line into a mistake.

Thought his effort at 50/50's were shit and his decision making was far worse. Should've been subbed much sooner.

Honestly, it's the first time I've been really disappointed in him.
In the first half he should have rolled it in with his right from the tight angle.
In the second half against the keeper he totally backed out when he should have got in before him.
He lacked desire
