Who would of believed a midfield with Joe Allen marshaling the troops would fail so spectacularly.. The end of the Welsh pirlo Poor for both goals, I've only seen the highlights though so don't know what he was like all match. He came on as a late substitute

My main running partner was in the Wetherspoons in Wrexham at 06.30 today before in the ground for 09.30 watching the game with Kevin Ratcliffe and another old Welsh player that I can't remember and a load of taffies š

Worry? I wouldn't exactly say that. Thing is Muff, you boys, the Welsh and the Jocks have been celebrating and revelling in England's defeats for as long as football has been going which is understandable because when your own team is absolutely fucking useless that's what those fans do. It's like Vale fans with Stoke, Everton fans with Liverpool etc etc. Just how it is, so every now and then it's good to laugh at how wank those teams are whose fans wish nothing but pain on the England national team through nothing other than sheer jealousy If you talk to your average Welshman or Scot, itās not England per se that they despise, but the England fans for their arrogance. So when England lose, itās more schadenfreude towards their fans. They kind of have a point. I think you're wrong there mate. I spend a large amount of time in South Wales and it's definitely England (the country) they don't like rather than individual English people. And from time spent in North Wales that dislike is bordering on hatred. Some have a humungus chip on their shoulders. I was in a Welsh pub when England lost to Italy in the Euro final and at the end the pub erupted in delight almost to a man/woman, as if Wales themselves had won.

Most of the time it's the press and TV that gets up their noses rather than the team itself. My own son, who was born up here, always reckons it'll be less than 10 minutes before one of the commentators mentions 1966 and I can't argue with it.

Local rivalry is always the most intense I've noticed.. look at Stoke and Vale. It's the same everywhere and the Welsh are no different. After living on the border for years I definitely like to see us beat both Wales and Scotland, the more easily the better.. I will not buy into wanting them to lose every match they play though and find that element within their support to be pathetic tbh.

A pub in Wales represents the Welsh nation. Can see their point to an extent, not like England constantly go on about a game 60 odd years ago. England fans no different celebrating a Scotland loss...like you say what goes around when knocked out but the fuss when the Welsh players video was up as can't take it back. Same as those on here who talk about some team in League one, personally couldn't give a toss about them . what game? Wonder if Muffy gets upset when Celtic bang on about 1967?

Wonder if Muffy gets upset when Celtic bang on about 1967? Yes, and I imagine like most Irish people he saw Jack Charltonās men win their moments of glory, shook hands with those who supported England/Romania/Italy and then walked away and spent the rest of his life acting like it never happened.

I don't expect Wales, Scotland or Ireland fans to wish England well any more than I'd expect a Stoke fan to support Man Utd in Europe. It's no different than England fans having a bit of schadenfreude when France, Germany or Argentina lose. The difference is, I wouldn't shell out on the replica top of Man Utd's opponents or spend my time on a French/German/Argie football forum winding up the locals after they lost (and being surprised if I got shit back) š
