Commentator said Timothy Weah is one of the great names in world football. Damn right, it’s years since a Timothy has graced the international stage. Absolutely. Sherwood (was he capped?), Howard, Cahill. That's all I have. Suspiciously few in fact - smacks of discrimination. Even those players were generally Tim rather than Timothy.

I'm not going to argue it either. Damn drums, why didn't the Qatari's ban THOSE things instead? To me, Group B. is all about England and whether or not they'll beat themselves. You SHOULD win comfortably Friday, like 4-1 comfortably imho. The US squad has some good individual players, but the squad is young. England is an experienced team playing together. I liked watching Kane soak up defenders, which freed up teammates to go on and score. That's class and awfully hard to defend against. Not expecting much out of the US in the knockout stages, even if they do make it. Guess we'll see on Friday. Having lived through the abomination that was the Vuvuzella (? It’s early, I can’t be arsed) lite percussion is fine. My obvious exception to prove the rule is that bloke at Reading. Vuvuwhatevers were worse for sure. Reminded me of "Hey, you guys want to hear the most annoying sound in the world?"
