Captain Hindsight? I’m sorry but Pej like Denis Smith is untouchable in my opinion. The bloke not only wore the red & white with pride but did it at the highest level and was fearless, tenacious, gutsy, committed, passionate and was top top quality against the best in the business. He also served the club as a coach under Lou Macari and a little story how Lou got his man. Pej was literally on the way to the airport to take up a post with the Australian National team as manager/first team coach when Lou stopped him boarding the plane and took him as first team coach at Stoke and the rest is history as they say. Not one of this current squad are fit to lace his boots. So I’ll say it loud & proud Mike Pejic Stoke City Legend and England International! First team coach and Stoke City supporter through & through. That’s all fair enough but it doesn’t make him or Smith good pundits. That's very true. Both were great players in their time but neither of them are easy on the ear.

What was he actually saying?

What was he actually saying? He was telling it like it was, Bayern. He said Powell should be playing deeper and the front runners need to do more work off the ball to stretch and turn defenders. He has a good grasp of the game but because we're actually shit at the moment, he really doesn't have much good to say about the team. For some that's negative but to me it's reality. OS.

That all seems rather very reasonable!

TRANSITION. That’s the new buzz word for want to be pundits now.
Half the time many don’t have a clue what they are talkin about.
The analysis of Leeds Untd on MOD this morning left me baffled.
They could have just said : Leeds had to many players going foreward.

Truth hurts for some, no matter who is telling it. Need a good few players with the attitude of Pej and his peers, its called pride. Look listen and learn class of 2022.

It’s blind squirrels stuff though. Pejic is like this all the time, events just happen to have caught up with his perpetual Souness-esque misery.

What he does on Radio now doesnt change that I did see him play. Was ok for his time not some superstar as made out. You'd think he never put a foot wrong and we never conceded a goal listening to him

Souness was a great player and did at the very very top. Good pundit also. Might not be the chirpiest but really talks sense. Someone who is a club legend

Just drones on about macho, cliche-ridden bullshit. The stuff he’s been chatting recently about the lad at Man Utd has exposed him badly.

Pejic is a good broadcaster in my eyes, says it like it is and always value his opinion. For me though I prefer Clive Clarke who really reads the game well and can spot whats going on and identifies key areas where we cam improve
Clarke said after the defeat to Coventry that our midfield doesn't run beyond the ball, Smallbone being key culprit and because they dont we look a bit toothless. Personally I had never thought of this but it rang very true

Just talks complete shite, the usual football was better in my day out of touch pundit. Not quite Geoff Hurst on that front but sneaking towards it.

Sorry, but Pej is just moany and whiney. We can all watch a football match and then say what we think the player should've done etc. I want balanced commentary but he just drones on and on. Unlistenable in my humble opinion.
