I usually get my way with the choice of films we watch, but every now and then I have to balance the choice of film with something "she will enjoy". I have a handful of romantic films in my back pocket that I actually enjoy;
Working Girl Strictly Ballroom Murial's Wedding Priscilla Queen Of The Desert
Three of those films are Australian, so perhaps Australian chick flicks have to be better to their menfolk to sit through them.
Working girl has peak Melanie Griffith and Sigourney Weaver to ease the pain.
My list is chronically short, so please help.
If anyone want to say Mamma Mia or Sex in the City, then please fuck of now.

Everytime I flick through the channels Bridesmaids is on, I feel like I've watched the whole film by piecing together 30 x 3 minute clips of the thing........

Baby Done's quite a decent,' newer 'film. My husband managed to watch it without needing to race out and put Gladiator on oh and you can add it to your Australia/New Zealand collection

Even my Mrs hates Chick Flicks. She prefers Akira or Battle Royale.
Have never seen Pretty Woman , Titanic etc and keeping it that way.
I Remember Greek Wedding thing on a plane once....I see why they have extra strength vomit bags. 10 mins was enough.

Even if viewed/judged purely as a disaster film it has to be up there in terms of best disaster films.

I want to see folk drowning, lungs filling with water, not some lovey dovey oh Mr Flannagan, I've just met you and despite you being poor and after a turn around the room dancing, let's get married kind of thing.

The simplest solution would be to replace her with a newer model that has a better taste in movies.

I don't know exactly what's classed as a chick-flick, but I really enjoyed Once.
Victoria, Black Swan (great psychological thriller), Garden State, The Lunchbox. Her is a great one if a romance with an operating system counts. True Romance. Midnight in Paris.
The 'Before' trilogy is great if you don't mind things getting talky - Sunrise, Sunset and Midnight.
