Less miles for the fans and the players for a useless competition we would never have won. It’s Just an injury burden, onto Huddersfield. I don't disagree actually. Seems the Championship in general has the same attitude

Ignominious cup defeats often herald a run of poor results. a good test then The sort of test we didn't need and should have avoided.

I think a significant factor in tonight’s result is that winning becomes a habit as does losing and inconsistency.
I’m waiting with interest the answer to the question of why Fox was chosen to take the 1st penalty, a must for a post match interview surely.
Additional and unnecessary pressure is on for Saturday

Yes it's wank we should be beating them no doubt but you will be wringing that piss out of your knickers until 2096 with a post like that. Chill out. I don't (generally) subscribe to calling genuine Stoke Fans purile, juvenile names as it demonstrates a lack of intellect and class. Stoke are going nowhere with this Manager. I couldn't be more chilled sweetheart. Who has called anyone a name? Edit* and I read your location Chell say no more.

Yeah who needs a potential sell out in the later rounds or a nice bit of a run of something different. Nothing like preseason. This is full on wank. Glad you care though. Glad you don't care. You are a Michael O'Neil wet dream of a fan and probably the reason we haven't sold out for a while at the same time.

Good question Lakeland and one I have no idea of? I'm guessing they would start from number one taker? I always though we had to drop one from our list so it's 10 v 10. Correct, otherwise the team down to 10 would have the advantage of getting back to their top-order penalty takers sooner.

I guess only one Championship Team survived tonight Preston and only because it was against Huddersfield.

To me, the manager talks it up as winning the game, carrying on momentum from the weekend. It’s bollocks, he hasn’t got a fucking clue and when I start getting angry about a game of football summats up. He needs to be sacked otherwise we will be far closer to relegation than promotion. The players pulled the useless fucker out of the shit at the weekend. He simply has to go

I love all the not arsed comments. It's Morecambe for goodness sake. They are a tiny tiny club and for 40 minutes with 10 men they held us at bay . See all the other results. Champo clubs can’t be arsed with this and rightly so Why did we put out a strong side if we couldn't be bothered.

Udders lost both league games and been smacked 4-1 at home against Preston tonight. Means one thing, Charity FC roll into town at the weekend, lump your money on them.

And surely Gayle grabbing a brace and Campbell notching in a 3-0 win would of had us all anticipating . Instead we have fans genuinely not arsed we lost . Winning breeds confidence. Perfect opportunity for likes of Gayle to get going.

About as much significance to us as losing a pre season friendly. Bit shit but who cares? What about the fans who paid money and made the effort to go and support them? You win some, you lose some. Safe journey home.

It does not matter who we are playing we should always play a certain way that means we have a greater chance than them to win the match. Winning is a good habit to have, MoN must be the only Manager who does not like getting in to good habits. Cup match, friendly or league match you must play to win. This fucking Manager of ours is starting to boil my piss. Coates Jnr please for all of our sakes GET RID OF THIS OUT OF HIS DEPTH MAN/MoN NOW. We are becoming a laughing stock once again.I hope that history does not repeat itself and the club make the Mark Hughes error once again. The potential for Stoke City was there for all to see during the Premiership years. Sadly poor choices of Manager and blind loyalty messed it all up. If MoN is a noble fella he would resign and let us rebuild once again. We are a stagnant club with him at the helm. No new ideas and antiquated playing system is crippling the club and it is there for all to see. Huddersfield next I cant fucking wait to see what happens when we get spanked by them. Shameless and blameless, MoN must go and go ASAP.

Have we got the worst "supporters" in the leagues. Totally fed up with the constant whining! We put out an almost reserve side tonight! Yes it hurts when I see us lose but we didn't look like losing in the ninety minutes. No hope of winning this trophy! Get focused on supporting our side in the league and stop looking for every opportunity to slate players and manager.

We’ve actually done alright in the league cup in the previous two seasons, which never seemed to have helped our league position. Saturday is a completely different kettle of fish whether we won or lost tonight. If we won tonight and got hammered on Saturday, are you suggesting the fervent MON out mob will have taken tonight into account?

Thankfully less fixtures to worry about now. Pointless competition that Man City will win. Those of us Old enough to remember taking 10,000 to Old Trafford in the second leg of this Cup don't think its pointless. Or 5.000 Stokies going Mental at Anfield after a late late equaliser. Those are incredible Memories that are still possible to recreate. Not with this manager though !

It doesn't feel like it now, and it does nothing to ease the pressure on the manager from certain quarters, but it could be a blessing in disguise with regards to fixture congestion in the run up to the WC.
I'm not convinced our recent, decent form in recent years in this cup has actually done us any favours.

When we lose at Millwall and again tonight it's all down to the manager, we beat Blackpool and it was all down to the players!
