Oatcake Prediction League - Season StatsSo how did we perform this season? Here are a few facts and some wierdnesses. Participants: Over 130 players made at least one entry. Weekly tipping started with 90 players and fell to around 50 by mid-season – kudos to those 50 who stuck at it through thick and thin. Points/game: innocentbystander scored 0.78/game and that's class in any league. At a whole league level – i.e. all players together – points/game did not reflect the number of players, as we were in Champions League form against Stevenage A (1.28) and Huddersfield H (0.96) but pub league form against Rotherham H (0.04) and Coventry H (0.07). The reason is that we predict like lemmings and all go the same way, probably following the conjunction of Uranus. (you can find your personal points/game in column FB in the excel file) Test Monkey: Here's a sobering thought – if you'd predicted 0-1 for evey match, you'd have won the league with 42 points and 10 perfect scores! (see, Test Monkey in the spreadsheet). Curiously, any score entered for every match would give you at least 15 points and getting fewer is a skill akin to dodging raindrops in a thunderstorm. Hence the special Dark Arts prize goes to hamsta2 who avoided scoring all but 8 points/48 games. View AttachmentIf you have a stats question, let me know. OK that's a wrap. Thanks Gaz. Mrs H pissing herself saying I can’t slag Scottish football again as I know nothing. Pah. The Dark Arts award is much appreciated. 💀💀💀
