I can’t think of anyone named Gavin since I watched The Brittas Empire in the 90’s Gavin Ward...

50 odd games to play and Powell will probably play 70% of them at a push. We need a pool of 25 players really. Not a chance of suffering the same injury curse as last year you'd think but can't be ear marking one player for one position for the season. where is he going to play though if everyone stays fit? With the players brought in doesn't look like we're going to play with a 10 and if we play with two 8s he's going to be in competition with Baker and Laurent. The other option would be left of a front three but with the attacking nature of the two fullbacks we've brought in you would have to think 352 is favourite although I suppose 343 is possible (but very attacking for someone as cautious as O'Neill). Will Powell now be the only player still on a legacy contract? (assuming Etebo goes) I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he left. Think we'll start off either 433 or 343 with Powell wide left. As it stands, the three in the middle would be Kilkenny, Baker and Laurent and if it's a two then perm any two from that three.

Creativity can just be something that happens to other teams. Again.

Yep. Long time ago. Any good loans since relegation? Maybe Rhys Norrington-Davies but that’s a push A big push

I hope you are right though as I would hate to lose Powell. I just think O'Neill is looking for more pace and power in midfield. A lot of the teams that gave us problems last season had midfields with a lot of athleticism.

They also seem to have extended his deal to 2026 - so fair to say they view him as one they want to keep

He isn't coming to sit on the bench how Rory's talking about him.

A welcome and good addition. We really look like we’re shaping up nicely. Just need another RB and target man and it’s job done. I’d imagine if they stay up we might have a chance of signing him come the end of the season.

If he keeps from giving the opposition the ball every chance he gets like Allen had over the last few years this is an improvement, in my opinion. Truly getting excited for this new team being built this summer.

He's signed from Bournmouth so expect him to be a shithouse.. excellent just what we've needed for a very long time in midfield.

I doubt he’s coming to Stoke to warm the bench, when he could have done that in the PL.
He’ll expect to start
