Genuine question. Would Glenda been of value to us this season? He’s not played much at Bristol rovers but good reports when he did He was never up to much in his "prime". unbelievable!

He was never up to much in his "prime". That's surely a pisstake he was quality for us. Every season Pulis tried to replace him, and every season Pulis failed!!!

He had good seasons and bad seasons. He definitely wasn’t irreplaceable. We just signed shite. Namely Whitehead and Allen.

He was but he also had bad seasons and could also be poor on the ball. It shouldn’t have been hard to replace him. But we don’t seem to know what a DM is in the scouting ranks of this football club.

That’s not exactly a shocking statement is it. If he brought in someone better, Whelan would have been out completely. We could attract much better and Whelan was about as good as we could do for his position. He had some limitations, but they were largely compensated for when NZonzi came in.

Joined first team coaching staff at Bristol Rovers. Fancy his attitude will make him a very decent coach , imaging that dressing room with him and Barton certainly wont be for the feint hearted

But we definitely could have got better. We got Whitehead instead.

Glenn Whelan played a massive part in us staying in the top flight for a decade...massively underrated by those who can't see that.

I remember us constantly getting shafted in the transfer market. I doubt that Whitehead was the true extent of our ambitions.
