Rafa to go to Burnley - keeps them up and sends Everton down?

Bottom line is he's won 4 games all season and in any division is desperate. They've been awful in general and a team he's built. Of course is the Premier League but the points return and goals scored is not acceptable I guess. Fans allegedly turned on him last week in numbers and run his course after being a steady enough manager . Whoever gets sacked the usual crowd will say...go get him etc, Farke now Dyche. Got them promoted twice from the Championship though and kept them in the PL for a good few years with next to no money in comparison to everyone else. He’s a good manager who gets the best out of his sides. He’s been there for 9 years only over the last season and a half have things gone stale.

At this stage of the season what a crazy decision🤔 Also the same folk clamouring for him here hated Pulis’s football🤔bizzare I can guarantee Burnley would never consider Paul Lambert until the end of the season, to this day it’s highly embarrassing we even had his contact details let alone employed him 🤣🤣🤣

See you in another 30 years then Burnley. Division 3’s saving a place for you.

They’ll go for an Allardyce type til the end of the season and then go for Michael Duff from Cheltenham when they go down, to appease the fans.

Seems odd but maybe they've got one eye on the championship next season and want a fresh start and getting in there early. As for him coming here it's not even open for discussion as we have a manager in place and whatever your opinion of him I doubt he is going anywhere soon. I think the comment above...have you watched Stoke lately and calling for Dyche sums up a few 😃. I definitely wouldn't want him . Each to their own though I suppose.

O'Neill is lucky he's managed to string together a few late season wins ( as per his Stoke m.o. ) because I can definitely see Dyche as the type of manager the Coates's would love at the helm. You know.. a dull grinding style of football that brings results through sheer persistence O'Neill will remain manager into next season minimum, I'm sure of that, though.

They've won 1 game more than Sunderland that shocking season they had and scored 1 goal less to date.
Go get him Coates. The very man for us 👍

I'd probably take him tbh, he's got a proven record with getting a club promoted on a tight budget. Shite football with results would be more bearable than shite football without them.

Dyche can be quite outspoken can't he? I imagine there's been some sort of disagreement, and I think I even said on this board he'd probably leave at the end of this season whether it was his choice or not.
I think it's Burnley's loss but maybe they're hoping for a new manager bounce. In a way, Burnley's season has been a lot like ours but at a different level - Burnley haven't won enough games to keep them clear of relegation trouble but haven't been an awful side. Whereas we haven't won enough to stay in playoff contention.
Despite saying it's Burnley's loss, I wouldn't be that enthused about Dyche coming to Stoke.

To reference another sport, it's been a decent innings. A couple of seasons longer than Pulis and take away the FA Cup Final, achievements are reasonably similar.
He won't be coming here as our manager is not going anywhere until at least the end of the 22/23 season.

QSF was agreed in principle with a contract formulated, but then the paperwork landed on one particular desk... At least two others then declined and the rest is history.

Coates should not be looking at Dyche to replace O’Neill, we need a foreign coach who will get these lot off 33 and on to 78. Dyche is another dinosaur who we don’t need, we have one already!!!!!!!!

It wont happen but exactly what box does he not tick in terms of being the next Stoke manager if for whatever reason O'Neil wasn't here? We'd be extremely fortunate to get him is the actual truth. I think you already suspect it, that the only box that is untickable is him electing to join us - unfortunately. How come? We have such great and loyal owners to work for apparently- what better offers would he get? By the way, can I make it clear that I personally would not want Dyche here, but he's a Coates wet dream.

If we were to make a change of this kind we'd be better getting Tony Pulis back.
He got us promoted and kept us in the Prem for 5 years with no hint of relegation.
Anyway, I'd stick with MON now.

Less money to spend, a smaller club/support and they qualified for Europe via league position (7th) rather than by default for losing a final to a side who were guaranteed a European place. Oh, and he's had more promotions to the PL

Can see Dyche going to Watford to replace Hodgson next season. Ex Watford player. Slight question mark whether he would work for the Bozo family though.

Short term though they’ve got to go for someone like that? They have one game plan so need an Allardyce, Pulis or Dyche 😂

I'm not entirely in favour of O'Neill going, but if he left then I'd spend every penny FFP allows on getting Dyche here.
