On what he was showing pre-injury, I'd agree with you. On what he's shown this season I don't think he'd get into a League One starting XI. That’s just hysterical nonsense. What's Campbell done to warrant a starting place? Fuck all. He's been a passenger in most games he's played.

I wholeheartedly agree with the general trend of this thread although not some of the specifics. Maja can hold the ball up is and with Campbell (to a lesser degree) and Baker the only two footed player in the squad. The team needs Brown for his energy . Sometimes obviously that’s misplaced but that was said about John Ritchie when he used to do the same. I think we all agree MON has lost the plot.Has too many options and NO PHYSICAL midfield presence. It’s glaringly obvious to us all but he seems to think he can football his way out of the division. I also totally agree with the post above about Powell. A cristiano ronaldo ego . A prima Donna. Get rid. The team simply don’t have the characteristics of a team. They are individuals . Stick we the same formation . Stop arsing around at the back and keep the same team . Constantly changing just confuses players, I’ve seen some shitshows in my 64 years of watching Us but Saturday was up there with Kamara .

Yes, I tend to agree. I remember Blythe Spartans. If Thompson and Allen are fit they have to play. Fletcher seems to be the only player who can hold the ball up and should get at least 45 mins. Brown is needed for his energy and Baker needs to be in front of Thompson and Allen. Bursik in goal and Jagielka at CB that should be the spine of the team. Stick to that and play four at the back at home.

Campbell is still the best finisher in the club, but since his injury he has really struggled.
Despite his two goals against B'ham he had a poor game overall, and has offered zilch since.
He really does seem to struggle to get fit, and now his confidence seems shot too, witness his attempt against Blackpool when he had time to take and touch...if he had done I reckon most of us would back him to have scored 99 times out of 100.
With the players coming in and those coming back to fitness there was a real feeling of optimism for a grandstand finish to the season. Sadly this petered out almost before it got started.
There is no easy answer, we can't get any new faces in, so I suggest that any player not 100% fit is rested (Powell, Campbell etc) and MON plays an attacking formation and tells them to go out and entertain / enjoy themselves and "give it a real go" for the last however many games we have left.

He did have time to take a touch but he very often doesn't and usually to his advantage. He finishes early and catches keepers off guard and usually by the time the ball hits the net, the keeper is set. He's really good at it.....usually. And that was what he was trying to do I think. It was obviously ridiculously shit but I think it showed he's not lacking confidence in one respect. But is just way off it.

He hasn't got a clue who his best keeper is never mind what his best team is, it's a fucking shambles, 3 or 4 changes every fucking game.
