MON is usually how we want him when we've got to go for it, or against someone we don't expect anything from. The ones we're expected to beat we either don't or make hard work of it.
Knowing we have to win, I expect an attacking side and bollocks to his default keep it tight and nick one.

Our best performance this season was against Swansea away with a back five. The second best was against West Brom. With a back five. You said “of late”. Fair point. We did play well against Swansea at home and at times we played well against Forest away but it wasn't that great a performance and overall going to a back 4 hasn't really been a great success. The big problem with a back 4 at the moment is that for it to be effective the attacking midfielder has to be on it and our best player in that role (Powell) has been woeful since coming back from injury. Also Tymon has been awful as a left back but has had a good season at wingback. Regardless of what the best formation is (and I don't think it's that big a deal - it's whether you make the formation work that counts) the available in form players are more suited to a back five at the moment. Our problem this season has been individual players making stupid mistakes - to a large extent the formation hasn't been the issue. For me our problems since the new year have been has been too many changes to the starting eleven as a result of injuries (losing players and bringing in players who aren't really ready), a glut of new players (a good thing long term but disruptive in the short) on top of changing the formation. The rest of the league have had half a season to gel and we look like a team a playing it's first few games of the season.

Are we still expecting a bumper crowd? What with these ticket offers and the 50th anniversary?

Are there any plans for a Ukraine show of support at the matches in the championship similar to the premier league?

Hopefully…
Bursik; Wilmot, Jagielka, Harwood-Bellis; Smith, Allen, Baker, Powell, Tymon; Brown, Maja.
Still not torn on that either, Sawyers and Moore would both be unlucky to miss out. Personally hope he sticks with five at the back now.

I can't remember the last time we fielded the same starting 11 consecutively, could this be a big part of our inconsistency, no settled side, yes we've been unlucky with injuries but no one seems to know who's going to start from one match to another - apart from Joe Allen of course. MON will almost certainly make big changes from the Palarse match but how many unforced changes will he make from the Boremouth match? Gouranga.

Yeah. Nobody apart from Joe Allen is starting games regularly.
Except for:
THB Baker Powell (if fit) JPB Jagielka (if fit) Campbell (if fit) Maja (if fit) Tymon
There’s more than a hint of exaggeration about your post.

Campbell is in and out of the team - same for Maja so apart from Tymon (no other choice anyway at LB or LWB) Baker probably the second name on the team sheet after Allen, JPB and THB maybe have an agreement with their parent club to play them, and Powell is picked regardless of his form, so 5 out of 11 regular starters, there's no hint of exaggeration it's plain for all to see. He hardly ever fields the same 11 (can you remember the last time the same 11 started 3 matches?). Gouranga.

There’s a good 7 players who are nailed on starters if fully fit. The goalkeeper rotation is a mystery and a valid criticism. We’re in shite form. What do you want him to do? Persist in playing the same eleven even though we keep losing games? Because I guarantee if he was doing that then the likes of you would be starting threads criticising him for not changing things.

So he changes 30% of the team weekly and you say I'm exaggerating PMSL. Gouranga.

So he changes 30% of the team weekly and you say I'm exaggerating PMSL. Gouranga. And how many of those changes are due to illness or injury? Like I said. If he wasn’t changing some players you’d be critical of his refusal to give other players a chance, Except for the perplexing goalkeeper rotation I can’t really see anything other than a manager trying to field his strongest team and get a team in poor form to turn a corner.

It’s obvious fans have a hard on for Powell but he’s been shit for 3 games so why can’t he be dropped. If it was let’s say Allen who had 3 poor games no one would want him in the side. Also Moore did nothing wrong the other so I would start with him Have to agree with you In regards to Powell, he’s been poor. Needs benching for a game or two.
