A swap loan. What a weird weird deal. Seems so pointless.

A swap loan. What a weird weird deal. Seems so pointless. I don't think so at all. Ince wasn't fancied at all and needed to move on. We needed a center back as couldn't rely on Chester being shit.

A swap loan. What a weird weird deal. Seems so pointless. Only fair to reserve judgement - but if he can only play centrally in the three, it'll be a confusing one. He was rated once, so time will tell. Hard to see it really moving our promotion needle though

But Ince is out of contract at the end of the season. Does calling it a free transfer instead of a loan make a difference with FFP?

We’re swapping an expensive player for an expensive player. We’re swapping a player who didn’t get in our XI for one who hopefully won’t play more than 2/3 games. And that’s no slight on him. I want to see Wilmot, Jagielka and THB going forward or two from them. I can only hope we’re loaning Forrester out or it’s an absolutely woeful signing.

He still has an extra year at Reading doesn't he?
I'm a bit baffled especially if we don't make it permanent. The transient nature of our squad is leaving me feeling a bit uneasy.
That said, I'm a strict meat and two veg man, so maybe this is normal behaviour for a football club and I'm the weird one?

The only positive I can see is that it might be the end of Chester.
It is an underwhelming one though.
Having said that, the window overall has beeb a good one.

And if Forrester doesn’t go out on loan blocking a really good young CBs chances of minutes. Not a ball player. Not left sided. Expensive.

A swap loan. What a weird weird deal. Seems so pointless. My God. You’re like a little dark cloud following every potentially positive story around waiting to piss on any embers of hope. I can imagine you in days gone by…… ‘Mark Stein - an Oxford reserve ffs.’ ‘Ricardo Fuller - do we really need a bloke with one knee?’ Cheer up!

Those 3 factors do make ir strange. A ball-playing, mobile left-footer, and there's no argument. But that he isn't. I'd like to hear MON explain his thinking on this one. Hard really to see it at the moment. He must feel Moore is *very slightly* more useful to the squad than Ince, but can't see there being much in it. But he is paid to make these calls. Can't see Moore coming to sit on the bench every week, so it'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

It’s a bad deal on paper however you try to spin it. It will work if one of the 3 starting CBs gets injured for a long time.

Piss Man City off. Or use him as a rotation with Jagielka. Which makes sense to a point but if he can’t pass (I have no idea I can’t remember watching him but Reading fans suggest he can’t) you need to cha the game plan. And that’s not taking Forrester into account which is really bad. I hope to God he’s got a loan.

We’ve obviously tried to loan him out and they didn’t want to extend. That we’ve tried suggests that we’d rather have him out on loan than in the U23s.

No he’s played his whole career as a right sided centre half. By the way his last game was an international match for Jamaica 🇯🇲 1 against Mexico 🇲🇽 2. Transfer Market says he prefers the short game, so we wait and see.
