For those advocating Fox I can only say, you don't watch Stoke very often! Bonham Smith Bellis Jags Wilmot Tymon Allen Vrancic Baker Fletcher Baddass Bench: Fielding Doughty Campbell DWP Powell Brown Thompson The alternatives are Chester, who is shockingly bad, in a 3 or Tymon, who cannot defend at all, in a 4. Fox is the best of a very bad bunch on the left side of the defence. He can kinda run (beats Chester) and can kinda defend (beats Tymon).

The decision to let Davies go is looking like suicide. Utterly mental mate How many times do we have to read this? Players have an influence on these decisions. Davies wanted to go. He didn't want to be Bursik's understudy. We got a small fee for him as opposed to nothing in the summer. Sometimes the club have no choice but to let a player go. When did Davies become such a great keeper that we should block his move. Cost us as many points as he saved us probably Anyway Bonham hasn't cost us a match yet.

Huddersfield are 8 games unbeaten. Bodes well for us. QPR scored in all of their previous 31 games before we got a clean sheet in our victory against them.

He was being held down against Fulham but the ref didn't see it and I haven't seen an angle on the Coventry highlights that proves he could have saved it. If he could have done there are plenty of other players who also could have done better and there were also a couple of times when he saved defenders blushes by preventing a goal when they'd messed up. Davies threw a point away against Derby and I know he made other mistakes. Bursik has probably cost us points as well. Bonham is not perfect but a perfectly adequate back up and is always calm unlike Davies which I like in a gk. Don't forget we also have Frank Fielding who I've not seen but Sheffield Utd and Derby were both supposed to be in for him and he seems to have a good reputation. Whatever the merits or otherwise of Bonham and Fielding doesn't alter the fact that Davies understandably wanted to go. At his age he doesn't want to sit on the bench. What would you have done? Promised him he'd be first choice and then have to sit Bursik on the bench when he was fit?

Good feeling about tonight. These have been on a run, but they really aren't anything special & I don't think they'll press as well as Coventry. MON will hopefully have put a rocket up their arses as well after Tuesday.
3-1 Stoke. Campbell x 2 and Vrancic.

Putting the Coventry non-performance to one side we had actually won 4 out of 5 (and should have got at least a draw at Bristol City) on our travels previous to Tuesday so like you I'm quietly confident providing we turn up of course......

After the Coventry result I was of the view it’s all over. Yet, here I am ahead of the next game full of optimism. I can see us winning, though I think this really is leaving it fine if we don’t. I’m sure I’ll look back at this post in several hours after the result and think what an idiot 😂😂. I guess the bottom line is, whatever Stoke do, the emotion ebbs and flows and you are stuck with it either way, yet crave the next dose of it.

It really is what actually makes it so good. Just so long as the downs don't keep going down for too long without an UP. And hopefully after a great win tonight we'll begin a big UP curve with no downs until our first Prem fixture next season against Man Shitty . Fingers crossed

We will dominate for the first 10 mins. Without a shot on target, they will score with their 1st shot on target. Game over.

Fully expecting a performance after the other night. I have to say that I'm the exact opposite. I've no confidence in either the team or the manager at the moment. I do hope I'm wrong.

We need a win tonight however it comes. 1 shot on goal and a filthy 1 nil or whatever. We just need three points to settle everyone down going into a banana skin next week in the Cup.
A defeat tonight and an early Wigan goal next week and it's chaos, and frankly chaos we can do well without.
