Poor performance. Too much pissing about at the back. Too much backwards play. Ince is powder puff and offers little. Clucas and Chester are liabilities. Tymon was non existent. Allen tried hard. Vrancic should have been used instead of Powell. Very disappointing.

Anyone calling for MON to go is such a melt. Did you lot think this team was going to turn around from relegation candidates to promotion candidates just like that? Look at the overall trend, which is slow improvement. Take into account the precarious financial situation of the club. Needing to drastically lower the wage bill. We’re in bad form, probably won’t get play-offs but I can see us challenging promotion if we continue to be shrewd in the transfer market come summer. The only people who use the word “melt” are plastic, Cockney Gangsters transported from the 1990’s. 😂😂

Our form in the last 20 has been poor…
Not sure many will accept this season as another rebuild but that’s the way it’s going. Wanted to MON to work out but don’t think he has the right fit for it. He’s done a good job turning us from a relegated side into a mid table team if you can class that as an achievement. But still lot of rebuilding to do. When we finish 11th or so be interesting to see how much patience the board has, but given the FFP situation I would say sit tight he’s here for the long haul.

Pissing away shite points like that is just infuriating. Fear MON has no idea what his best side is now and that he’ll have that many options he’ll never get a settled side. You can’t have four strikers on your books and have only Brown getting game time! Fair enough leave Fletcher out but how hasn’t Campbell got on there?

That's the most frustrating game of any of MON's tenure so far for me. You’d think, but I reckon he is capable of serving up even worse.

There was a cross stitch and macrame evening at the village hall tonight. Wish I had gone - at this moment I think I would have probably enjoyed chatting up some geriatric tottie over TEA and biscuits!

Wright-Phillips and Bidace are very talented footballers. Clearly. And they should be on the bench at the very least. But to completely sack off Campbell, Doughty, Fletcher is fucking madness. It's as if he's trying to impress Steve Gerrard with Bidace. Absolute joke. And he moans about people not performing getting replaced yet continues to play Sam Clucas. If he is true to his word of shaking up the team, he wants to be changing it up on Saturday starting with getting some fresh legs in the midfield. 5-3-fucking-2 and we have talent like that struggling to get in. Why not try Bidace and DWP either side of a striker? Tymon and Smith have not been consistently effective, give the wingbacks a break.

The only thing that has improved is the fact we've cleaned out most of the bad wood. On the field, the performances this season (other than the occasional exception), have been shocking.
I've never seen a team with such little creativity. We had players getting to the half way line and having no idea what to do with the ball. Zero movement, no game plan, no tactics. It was cringeworthy.
Starting 11, use of subs, approach, energy and passion are all in rapid decline, and he's out of ideas. Leaving Vrancic and Campbell on the bench in a game like that is mind blowing. He's so out of his depth, and out of excuses.

This was what the apologists were saying last year. Nothing has improved Ironic how the optimist has liked your post. I’m just adding a dose of realism to the passions of Stoke fans on this forum.

We are effectively replicating last season match by match
Loan players coming in who far too much is expected of and a reshuffle that may offer on paper an improvement but in practice is more of the same

Tonight was poor again, very poor, little or no cohesion after the bright start, disjointed and some of the big earners on our team, put to shame by many of the Coventry players.. overall piss poor..there have been way too many of these performances for my liking.

I aren't calling for him to go but he seems to have terrifying shortcomings. Wedded to a system and to players who aren't working and can't seem to motivate the lads. Wedded to a system. Didn’t he say publicly he wanted to play 4-3-3 when he first came? And fell into the current system due to the teams shortcomings. Even tonight we switched to a 4 at the back. Albeit due to Chester’s ineptitude. He's still starting 5-3-2 (or 3-5-2, if you want) after a series of games where we create fuck all. Didn't someone work out that 3 of our top 10 lowest ever xG games were in past few months, all starting that formation? Which games did we start with 4 at the back?

Give it a few more games and we could easily be 15th. Not much improvement going on from what I can see.

This wretched shambolic manager must be replaced now, he’s worse than Jones and Rowette without a doubt. He gets away with murder he’s a con artist, I hated Jones and MON is right up there in my opinion. MON OUT Like anyone is going to take seriously the inane drivel of someone who can't spell or put 2 sentences together?

We are so inconsistent that we'll end up between 10-14 in my opinion. We have that occasional very good game, but way too often we are close to what we did tonight. Another very disappointing performance where we play the ball around between the defenders until we lose it or hoof it. I honestly thought we were lucky just to lose with one tonight. We can just start to build for next season because this one is over when it comes to a playoff place. We simply aren't good enough. There is no need to try to fool ourselves that we are better than we are.
