Chester, Smith, Allen, Clucas, Ince, Surridge. If we can get rid of even a couple of them it will have been a fantastic window. Yep all those. Smith has chipped in with assists but his general game is poor. He can’t really defend and he’s just not quick enough. I bet Huddersfield couldn’t believe it when we gave them £4 million for him. I can’t see anyone taking Surridge from us for a fee so he’s probably going to get loaned out for the rest of his contract. |

Baker looks an upgrade on Allen for sure, quite how Clucas stayed on for the full 90 minutes is beyond me. Chester has blown it at this level, Smith is limited, Ince just to free up massive wages. I still expect wheeling and dealing before the window closes. Not sure Powell is safe either.. Based on what? |

At the minute I wouldn’t be against seeing Surridge leave on loan. Edwards would have been off if not for his injury. Don’t think Sima will come back from Brighton.
Loans needed for Oakley-Boothe, Blondy, Norton, Goodwin, Jones and Forrester.
The rest of the squad seems fine to me. We’ve already been obliterated by injuries and it only takes 3 or 4 to leave us short again. COVID can strike at any time too.

Allen, Ince, Clucas, Chester, Davies plus Batth who has already gone reduces our wage bill (unless we make any contributions for the remainder of their Stoke contracts) by over £150,000 a week, an absolute fortune in the Championship. Clucas and Chester. Neither are exactly in demand - put them on the Clearance Items table now and hope someone bites. The way they play now doesn't exactly help that. Allen - no matter where he finds himself next year, it's going to be on far less money and it shouldn't be here. Out of the 3, he's the most likely to generate some interest. We don't need to get all "romantic" about him if someone comes knocking. For the 1st time in years it appears that we are at last trying to build a midfield. Romantic? The guy is shite. The sooner he is off our books the better. |

Its clear we are eager to trim the squad but why is tyrese’s name and nick powells name getting dropped into these equations? Tyrese is the only natural finisher and nick powell is our best player. Some people seem to be losing there marbles

The ones I’d get rid of are Fox and Chester, I’d keep Surridge, Ince, Powell, Allen, Smith etc etc. just think you will need them all if you want to serious crack at the playoffs
