He was my favourite poster. Was there a specific reason he no longer posts? He had a disagreement with someone over which was the best pattern for a suit- Paisley or dog tooth- and shit went down. I heard the fight by the statue of sir Stan finally happened and the concrete hardened crust of a stale pork pie hit him under the eye and Momo bit the dust

Really strange not having a Stoke match on boxing day. A merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year to all Stokies everywhere!

Bit belated, but Merry Christmas all.
Doing well this thread, in to the 4th page and still hasn't descended into a PHW v Rimmer slag-fest. The magic of Christmas, eh?

Merry Crimbo, all. Let’s hope we can sing that classic 10 pints of Bass this Yuletide before we, er, run out of Yuletide. Altogether now, “on the first day of Christmas…”.

Greetings to musik. Is that New Year tradition still alive in Sweden? The one where, on the stroke of midnight, you scoff a bucket of ice-cream, take off your clothes, sprint outside, and dive head first into a snow drift. Whereupon you chant the name of Stina Blackstenius until you are carted off to A&E with hypothermia? Greetings also to madnellie. Slightly concerned, however, about that project to turn The Roaches into a N Staffs version of Mt Rushmore, with carvings of Lord James of Greenhoffshire, Sir Denis of Smithville, The Rt Hon Alan of Hudsonia, etc. Is it on budget and time?

Sadly due to age and health I can no longer attend the games, so thank you to ALL posters on the Oatcake for your varied, sometimes controversial, always interesting posts of the games and OUR club. You make up in some way for missing the games as I always found the views of those around me as interesting as the games I watched. Different views are what makes the game what it is, and long may they continue. For myself, just the chance to read so many views in some ways compensates for missing the game, although it will never be the same. Enjoy the games and express your views on them. All the best for 2022, from an old Stokie.
