You've got to have sympathy for the poor lambs. It's not as if they've got time on their hands to get a vaccination, is it? I’ve had all three as that’s my choice ….It’s their choice, they are human beings and have a personal choice in it all Be interested to know how many of those slaughtering people for not having it refused to get the flu jab prior to all this happening 20 months ago Of course nobody will admit to it Me Sir! I will admit it! Nothing has changed my mind..............

It's none of your business though wether they have one or not, you just don't get it do you That’s what care workers and NHS workers thought! I'm with them all the way. I think it's eye opening how many are refusing this jab, considering that they know only to well how bad this whole thing is. The be all and end all is this, if the jab was any good it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference if others were jabbed or not. If 3 jabs aren't protecting you how many will?

Most people get a flu jab at certain age though mate, don’t they? You’d be very surprised at the uptake on it up until 2 years ago Steve Really?I always assumed that most of the older generation had the flu jab even before the Covid outbreak

Bit hypocritical then if you don’t mind me saying as flu has the nhs on its knees virtually every single year with ICU rammed with people of all ages suffering from it I’d reconsider your views in regards them mate

Looks like its another strain football covid as they are all getting it club after club after club in what appears a far greater % than the general po;pulsation ie 0.1 % of the populations at 80,00 cases and yet 10% of clubs say they have 6 players or more of super fit athletes. Sounds a little fishy.

Why? I don't mean the NHS but if they thought a serious spike was a possibility (surely a variant was always a distinct possibility), then what happened to the purpose built hospitals? Virtually all of them have been closed down. To be fair they hadn't got the staff to work in them. We can add as many beds as we like but, without the staff to attend to the patients, extra beds aren't a huge amount of use.

All adults should have a choice, either take the vaccine or not. Like you, I've had three but if the bloke next to me doesn't I don't think anything more or less of him. His life, his choice. Isn’t the point that not having the vaccine doesn’t just affect you, it could also affect anyone you come into contact with or in close proximity to? I wear a mask to enter the ground and in the concourse because I’m in close proximity to thousands of people I don’t know, I take it off when I get to my seat as I know that the bloke who sits next to me is fully vaccinated.

Do you think we might go 'closed doors' again? There is something incongruous about being told to work from home and skulk round Waitrose in a face mask while 50,000 fans, frothing at the mouth, are jammed like sardines in football stadia up and down the land. I just think someone will call 'time' on this in the next week or so. I find the whole situation at present to be illogical. As you point out people are being told to work for home but also being told that it is safe to attend footy matches subject to a negative test or a full vaccination record. Even more illogically, the government has told people to work from home if possible but that they can go into work for the annual Christmas party!!!! WTF is that all about? The government is claiming to follow the science - I bet no scientific committee has told them it is a good idea to allow works Christmas Parties. Johnson attempting to stay in post.

How do they know that for Onicron but can’t say how lethal it is? Because there is a lag between people getting infected and a percentage of them becoming seriously ill. I expect by next week it will be much clearer what percentage will require hospitalisation and a week or so after that we should have a good idea how many deaths will result.

Fair enough. It's not doing a very good job right now is it? How do you propose they prove it was the unvaccinated player that was responsible for the transmission so as to impose sanctions on unvaccinated player? Not about proving it but that if everyone is vaccinated transmission will be less and hence there will be less games cancelled. It’s not rocket science and as Klopp says how can you justify putting your colleagues at risk in a team sport?

Which countries were those? Why do doctors wear masks while carrying out operations, and before you make wild clams name your countries. Pre Covid, surgeons wore them, the rest of the hospital staff did not. How come they are good idea now but not before ?

To be fair to you Dave, that link that you've been given is based on Delta and anything that has come before, as far as I'm aware, there isn't any data available that shows that vaccination stops the spread of Omicron.

People keep saying this on here and it doesn’t tally with any data for delta anyway

Anyone else find it strange that masks come back in to force in most settings and the cases have sky rocketed? (granted a lot of this is down to an increase in testing) The covid wave was predicted way before masks were used again.

How can you prove it was the unvaccinated player that spread ot though when vaccinated players test positive? You can't, your statement is still wrong.

Masks came back into force BECAUSE of the number of cases being on the rise, didn't they? When they announced they were coming back, the case levels were no higher than peaks in July and October. And now at a record high

It has to be lived with. If cases had anything to do with likelihood of being hospitalised we're knackered allready, especially if it's apparatntly spreading as fast as they say. So what's the point exactly?
