Playing against Stoke was easy. Their midfield is so immobile. Tell us something we dont know. But O,neil doesnt.

Thought they were wank tbh. If we played a good side today we would have lost by 5/6.

I agree they were shit. But its quite obvious that most teams know just run and move against us were static.

Sad fact is Injurys change nothing. Allen and Clucas are similar.

We need a proper nasty shit in our midfield. Mick Kennedy may be stretching it but you get my point.

Maybe he's got something? Not having Joe Allen in the midfield indeed led to an almost a total lack of mobility there.

If Mowbray said that i think he's being kind Blackburn were nothing special but beat us with ease. We have had one game this season were we looked good & totally in control that was against West brom the rest have been scrappy wins or we have been very lucky.

He's not wrong, but you don't have to be a manager to suss that one out, it's plainly obvious to anybody!!!
Besides, he's always had a bee in his bonnet with us, ever since we used to regularly kick his West Brom arse with our anti-football!!!

Our team is static both defensively and in an attacking way. Anyone who knows anything about the game will tell you that movement is key and yet we have been so poor for so long under successive managers. Is it a cultural thing, do we keep choosing the wrong managers, do we still have players who aren’t arsed to move or aren’t intelligent enough to move? It’s just shameful that this has been the way of the team for the last half a dozen years and we are no where nearer to resolving it.

The sooner he’s back the better Bumped into a Luton supporting mate this morning, we'd both been at Kenilworth road and were discussing the game....one player that stood out and his opinion and was head and shoulders above the rest on both teams was,yes you've guessed it...Jo Allen.

Don't know if he's like that behind the scenes, but whenever I look at him on the touchline during the game he's just still with hands in his pockets. We don't need a raving loon like What Conte is at spurs, but some motion and passion would be good. Also I'd like him take a touchline ban and call out the standard of the shit refs, or even take a lengthy ban and call them dodgy and corrupt 🤣 He just seems to accept the shit refs

I don't think we did miss Joe Allen yesterday. All we needed to do was replace him with Wilmot and not take away Tymon's contribution from the left wing and Mowbray would probably be choking on his words now. MON got it wrong yesterday and he has to learn from it.
OS.

For me, this position is absolutely top priority in the next window. OS.

Allen let’s people ghost past him all too often and without a challenge. It was exactly the same yesterday but Allen is just closer and looks like he’s trying to stop it then fails. He’s a good actor is Joe.

We need at least one psycho in midfield. Until we get one, teams are just going to waltz through because we aren't quick enough and the opposition is comfortable taking the ball through there.

When I saw the team without knowing how we’d line up I presumed Tymon was still at LWB, Wilmot was playing as the holding midfielder and Fox was playing at CB. To go the way MON did is just baffling to me and the first time I’ve thought he’s maybe just not up to the job. Yes we’ve got injuries but it was just completely unnecessary and as we saw, produced a dire result.

We have certainly regressed in the last month or so, both Peterborough game and Blackburn game we created very little and we looked slow and ponderous all over the pitch. We have talked about pace for years and years, yet consistently not managed to address it..

I hate Mowbray. He's always been a bad loser which is forgivable but to crow over your opponents when you've just beaten them is graceless. He is obviously a bad winner as well which can never be justified. Not only did he criticise our midfield but said our squad is so big that we don't miss our injured players like any other club would. Really? I do hope Brereton Diaz and a couple of their other important players get serious injuries. Tell me next time you hear a winning manager or even a player in any sport criticise their opponents. Most managers would have said that they played well, deserved the win and got a bit lucky with the goal kick or didn't see the deflection themselves. He must hate Stoke for what we did to him when he managed WBA.

It’s just shameful that this has been the way of the team for the last half a dozen years and we are no where nearer to resolving it. I disagree with this to an extent. Earlier in the season it was very clear that there was lots of movement. When we had the ball in certain areas of the pitch it was clear to see midfielders and wing backs taking up certain positions and running off the ball to create pockets of space. It reminded me of a rugby union or american football team with their tactical playbooks. Admittedly, we seem to have gone off the boil somewhat in the last 6 weeks or so but earlier on it was refreshing to see the movement within the team.
