Or atleast, he did on fm19

I don’t think it would. He’s had a good 3 months and before that the odd good game. At the start of the season I don’t think many of us would have been arsed had he left. Practically that’s true but he’s obviously a good character and well liked in the dressing room. Three is not too long and not too short. Yeah can’t argue with him or his improvement recently. Just seems a tad ott with our history too. Good to get it done early though and I just hope he keeps the performances up.

I thought his energy would make him useful in MF but... No. He put in one excellent cross very early creating the first chance, but Brown didn't get to it. Vrancic, 32, played all career in MF Sawyers, 30, played all career in MF Throw in Tymon, 22 years of age, in a position he has rarely if ever played, and criticise him. Typical. Fox should getting the flack, he was dire. I watched him jump on one occasion and I think he got 6 inches off the ground!

I wasn't meaning to slam Tymon mate, just that I didn't think he was very effective. Not really our LWB's fault that he isn't immediately a dominant box-to-box midfielder. The centre was just broken today. Sawyers having regular brainfarts in possession was what ticked me off the most.

Tymon is far better out wide, and toss in the middle. It was O'Neil clangerr that nullified his strengths today.
That said the continual weak as piss tackles as he threw his hands up a yard away to step away to show the ref no foul was scandalous, and whilst errors before and after, allowed the strike for the goal today, when he could have stopped the shot.

It's amazing how often managers try and be clever by picking a player out of his normal position and guess what, it fails. When MON arrived for his first game away to Barnsley and had one of our best victories in what seemed ages, he was asked what he did different. His answer was nothing special "I just picked players in their strongest positions". I think he was mainly referring to playing McClean as a LW instead of LWB, but the point is today he strayed from that policy.

Hopefully it stated he must play out wide for the remainder. Good news, but boy is he shit in the middle. Very unfair. He did ok today considering his partner was Sawyers who doesn't do tackling.

Lack of midfielder does limit options, but if going to be forced to play someone out of position Ostigard in the back 3 with Wilmot in Center mid, with Tymon wide left was a serious option. Even Doughty at LWB, would provide us an outlet which Fox can't give. He seemed to drop Fletcher to justify dropping Tymon into centre mid as he knew we wouldn't get the ball wide and deliver decent balls from wide areas.

Tymon was missed wide not because he was ineffective in midfield but because his replacement at lwb was so ineffectual. I felt sorry for Tymon at the end as he walked round applauding the non existant crowd. In his dreams he probably envisaged walking round celebrating a victory and a new contract.

I’ve not seen the game today but on the face of it, team sheet wise, has he not weakened two positions when it wasn’t needed? Wilmot in the middle for one game would have been fine/worth a go, keeping Tymon where he’s best suited.

I think he has all the ability to be a very good player, he just doesn't have the right mindset. He doesn't have the courage to go and impose himself.
He could be a really good player, but does he really want to be?

Has Tymon done anything to suggest it's worth loosing his strengths from LWB, to play in there?

I would certainly sell if we got a bid around £5M for him! Has had a decent season, but he is not a great footballer in my opinion. His position is left wingback or nothing as I see it. Doesn't have the vision to play as a central midfielder, not good enough on the ball either to be honest. Decent Championship player in one position and that's it.
