I liked this one. Looks great when everyone is clapping. I'll bring the air horn and bog roll for throwing on the back of the goal. But seriously, it is a good one. Also, "who are the people, etc."?

According to article seven of the current ground regulations, no air horns allowed. 7 The following articles must not be brought within the Ground - knives, fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon and/or compromise public safety and/or illegal substances. Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the Ground. It's not even possible to sing the old classic "We don't carry knives, we don't carry lead, we only carry hatchets, to bury in your head!" any more according to article nine 9 The use of threatening behaviour, foul or abusive language is strictly forbidden and will result in arrest and/or ejection from the Ground. The Club may impose a ban for one or more Matches. They should add half and half scarves to that verboten list. And matchday vloggers.

Da Da; Da Da Da; Da Da Da Da; CITY Da Da; Da Da Da; Da Da Da Da; CITY Okay it doesn't look so great written down on paper but when I first starting going it was just about the only chant we had that was not of the 'You're gonna get your flipping heads kicked in', 'You'll never make the station' and 'You're going home in a North Staffs ambulance' variety, none of which you are really encouraged to sing in polite society these days. So how it goes is just before every Stoke attacking position be it a free kick or corner an unlikely looking and rather short gentlemen on the Boothen End with a moustache and glasses bedecked in a white bakers coat with the names of the players Greenhoff, Conroy, Dobing, Smith, Pejic etc. embroidered in red letters on the front and those immortal words 'SCFC Waddington' on the back would sound a klaxon twice on the first 'Da Da' and 3 or 4 thousand pairs of hands would go up in the air to drum home the chant, 'Da Da; Da Da Da; Da Da Da Da; CITY, Da Da; Da Da Da; Da Da Da Da; CITY'. It looked amazing, I mean can you imagine? Like all great design the genius was in the simplicity! I had to read this back a few times Gods to understand what you are on about. This wasn't ever a 'chant', the Da Da bit you've referred to, was actually a handclap and the only chant part of it, was the two syllable "CI-TY" coming at the end of that rhythmic hand clap, almost certainly prompted (as you say) by an air horn on the Boothen. Would it work nowadays as we seem to have to clap at 100mph.

Seriously, were you there?, Were all those girls in mini skirts and skin tight tee shirts, promoting the Stoke City lottery or match day sponscer really offended. That's not my memory, when they giggled their way off the pitch together. Let's just be honest about real life instead of being offended on others behalf.

I back this song, but if we sing the cursed and dross sounding “you’re fucking shit” song one more time, I’m off down the vale😂 Worked well against Cardiff.. Thank thee for cementing my point

That chant is one of the only tunes I can play on the piano. I agree we should bring it back. Could you arrange to be wheeled out into the centre circle at half time Terry Jones'- style?

Are air horns still on the banned list of things to take into grounds on match day? There used to be a poster with wonderfully naive drawings of the things you couldn't take in, along with darts, and possibly ball hammers and throwing stars. Loved those signs, as well as these in the swimming pool, which for some reason used to inspire us to try and tick them all off in a single session. Apart from Petting of course, never knew what that was
