Yoan Ziv for Tel Aviv it was That's the on3 that was a mad one, he got jerome sent off just before half time and the ground was fuming, start of the second half Huth tackled him so hard he flew over an advertising board which set him off as i remember, then Shotton stood on his heel and pulled his boot off and the rest is history and one day will be shown on a question of sport!

David Speedie did that - did Wright do it as well? That was in the Coca Cola Cup at Highbury after we'd drawn the first tie at the Vic. He chased a long ball, couldn't catch it and ended up smashing it into the away fans on the Clock End out of petulance. We'd already been giving him some stick for his 'handball' equaliser late on in the first game. I was about three feet from said girl. He absolutely leathered it, made a terrible sound as it made contact, and he never even turned around to look!!

I remember Speedie, playing for Coventry at the time I think. He had a vile temper, was given a lot of abuse by the Boothen & Paddock every time he touched the ball. He got even more by his reaction, lost his temper & got sent off.

Jim Gannon -the most mis-matched square-up in football history. Stein wanted to rip his head off Couldnt stand him since and quite rightly he ended up getting dogs abuse every time he came afterwards Didn’t he refer to Steino as ‘ bean head’?

Peter Storey has to be one of the most detested opponents, though crowds were a bit more civil in those days.
He was a horrible, nasty footballer who seemingly replicated that manner off the pitch.

Bit more than it was supposed to be ugly along with the words you mention along with a reference to his race and the suggestion he was born out of wedlock, his missus also spat at stein at a Stockport game. If you haven't already heard it listen to the under cosh podcast with Geoff Horsfield tells the story of why he filled him in when he was Vale assistant manager, what a snidey little shithouse of a man Gannon is.

Well I’ll start with Eric Gates followed by Terry Curren after he threw a ball at a kid if I remember. More recently Bircham at QPR and the whole of the Bournemouth team. Anyone raise that list ? Can't recall the Curran incident, if i'd known i'd have told him off as he and his brother ran a rather rough nightclub in my home town!

Joey Barton pretending to be elbowed in the face in the Boothen corner. Mid-pretence he looked up and smirked at the fans, seem to remember he got the decision too.

David Speedie, no one else comes close. Even mega wankers like Pruton, Gannon or Barton shut up for 2 minutes.

I still wake up in a cold sweat seeing that injury. One of the worst things I’ve ever seen at a football match.

Shout out for Kris Commons when he returned with Forest.
He got dogs abuse from around 17,000 fans.
If my memory is correct, he was substituted at half time, because the abuse adversely affected his performance.

If my memory is correct, he was substituted at half time, because the abuse adversely affected his performance. I always remembered it as he got subbed before half time. Pissed myself either way. Had a chat with him once about ACL injuries as I was about to get mine operated on. He was actually a very nice lad
