Isn't that the keeper bayern wants in Anyone know if he was at fault for any of the goals before we leap to judgement?

Isn't that the keeper bayern wants in 😂 yes. Say no more. 🤣 Not let’s. I don’t want him in. Do I think he’ll be better than Bursik - yes. Can any of us comment on how he has played tonight - no.

I don't think he'll be better than Bursik but he's decent I don’t think he’ll get the chances sadly. The injury last season really hindered where he should be. He should imo be on a loan at a league club now.

Villa have a mint U23’s. A defeat was expected but 8 is a little embarrassing Yeah definitely. Said a few weeks back the next two games will be tough but you shouldn’t be losing by that much. I expected 3/4 but this is embarrassing definitely. It happens I guess. We’ve been pretty good of late, wake up call perhaps

Villa youth sides have been highly rated for a few years now & the last few seasons we've always edged them and beaten them. Either they've got really good over the summer or we've become really poor. I do realise alot of our U23's from last season may have been loaned out also so perhaps we are abit depleted.. Perhaps we were just plain crap!
Although a relative whose a Villa fan told me yesterday that they've been paying good money out to supplement their U23's so perhaps they've outplayed us as they have paid money to get that extra quality in.

We had an iffy start last year as some players had moved up to first team
That's the way with youth football, good for a season maybe two

Don't see the benefit of Tyrese continuing to be part of games like that. Let's get him on the first team bench now at least

Our two best strikers in Varian and Norton. And Goodwin too. Really hope they start playing Tezgel at this level tbh.

And Ireland,Griffiths Bit tougher for them though? Porter, Jarrett and Adebambo all bloody good and need u23 minutes. Guess there’s a chance we send one of them to Leek or somewhere to play men’s football? Good issue to have mind. Up front it’s Douglas Taylor and the young lad we signed from Congleton. So a much easier path and more worthwhile.

Who was in Goal when Liverpool put 8 past us in the League Cup? Muggleton, of course. Though to be fair, Liverpool put out a very strong team that night. It was soul destroying to stay to the very end though!

He won’t be involved until after the international break Seems silly given how blunt we look up top. If we were struggling to score (which we aren't particularly) it would be insane to rush Campbell back in and put that responsibility on his shoulders while he gets back up to speed after a long term injury. As it is there is no immediate need to re-introduce him before he's properly ready - it would be equally insane to rush his recovery while there is no pressing need. What exactly are you trying to achieve/prove by continually insisting Campbell get re-instated in the first team? It's genuinely weird and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

We look crap up front though. Stoke fans will always love Brown's effort but it's not great attacking wise and Surridge so far is just a bit wet isn't he. It's functional to a degree but especially in a game where need that little bit extra having him on the bench would make sense. He's had 60, 80 and 70 minutes now, I thought he'd be back after that. I haven't said he should be in the first team, I've said he should be on the bench.......... And, why is it silly to want your second best attacker back so soon? The best being Powell.

Campbell is one of our better strikers when he is fully fit and match sharp. He's progressing well but he's had 3 games for the U23s and only played 90 minutes once and from all accounts has looked ok but hardly looked a class above. O'Neill made a thing about having a chance to see him in action last night and while I'm sure in wasn't his fault I suspect an 8-0 defeat isn't an ideal showcase for an early return. There's very little to suggest he's ready for first team action. You're making judgements on where he was at - not where he is right now. There's nothing silly about having a fully match fit Campbell back in the team but it's foolish to throw him back in before he's ready. Why are you so obsessed in getting him back?

That’s usually enough for the bench.

Surridge and Brown aren’t good enough.
