Won't be able to watch that without thinking Elton John 😏 I thought he was brilliant as Elton I enjoyed that film too. bloody awful compared to the other big music biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, they had elton spend more time in bed than making music! for me Martin Compston would be an amazing bond

If he kept his natural, thick Scottish accent then no-one would understand a word he says!

Henry Cavill for me

Stephen Graham, he’s been in everything else! Really though I quite like him but I wouldn’t mind Richard Madden being Bond. I think it’ll be Regé-Jean Page though. He's recently signed on to star in a reboot of The Saint. Not sure the Bond producers would want their star attached with another super-spy character.

Henry Cavill for me It was actually between him and Daniel Craig for the role last time round, and Cavill lost out due to his age (only 23 at the time). He's certainly the right age now. Whether his role as Superman is something of a hindrance for the Bond producers is another question.

I'd say that (similar to your previous post) the fact he's already done the spy thing in The man from Uncle won't help....neither will the fact that he was fucking awful in it

Very fair point actually mate. Used to love The Saint as well (Ogilvy was good also). Re: Tom Hardy as others have mentioned, i do like the guy but think he'd be far, far better as a Bond villain than as Bond himself

Re: Tom Hardy as others have mentioned, i do like the guy but think he'd be far, far better as a Bond villain than as Bond himself Ian Ogilvy was widely tipped to be Bond? After his role as school bully in Ripping Yarns he would have been a good villain also.

Moore was bloody awful in most things - though he was an incredibky good looking fella in his younger days. He was so wooden as Bond I wouldn't be surprised if the Bond Girls had to be treated for splinters after the sex scenes.

Each to their own I guess. 'The Man who haunted himself' not his finest moment

If you can pull that off why bother with the hard yards of treading the boards six nights a week at the RSC. As you say - can't blame Rog for that if some other bugger is signing the cheques.

He used to drink in The Star in Acton in Cheshire. Had a pad there. If you ordered a G & T in there local folk looked at you as if you were some fancy City dweller

Never saw him mind. That was the pre-Bond days though.

Pretty sure one of the gals who worked there told me he'd been in the previous Sunday, was about 25 years ago. His house was a glass looking place just behind the pub if I remember correctly. Not sure if Jaws ever swung by for Quiz night or not.
