A 'big game' a week-and-a-half in? It's just one of our opening 5, 10 games, nothing more. It's only a 'big game' for those waiting for the slightest blip, so that they can stick the knife in. Our squad's not complete, we've got key players missing, 4 pts from the first two games, promising signs from our new players. Swansea looked decent against a freshly-relegated side last night, they're no mugs. I'd take a draw there, all day long. We never get anything down there Serious question - do you actually watch Stoke? I’ll be kind and say you just have memory issues, otherwise you just talk shit.

I’d have taken a point all day long before the game yesterday. However stoke just didn’t turn up yesterday. Miss placed passes, Every time we came out into midfield we were clueless. Souttar is immense! Every time he goes up for an header you just know that he is going to win it… Quality with his feet and a very calm & composed player. I’m impressed with willmot as well. Surridge lost everything he touched yesterday I think we needed brown on a little sooner but overall a good point away from home 👍🏻 I thought we started really well on Saturday but Birmingham came back into the game and a draw was a fair result. We missed Vrancic's delivery and creativity, and Powell had a real off day which didn't help. Fletcher and Surridge doesn't look quite right as a front two, as many have said on here - one of them plus another striker with pace seems like a better option. It was still a good point which I'd have taken before the game at this stage of the season, if we can finish August with wins at home against Reading and Forest, and draws away at Brum, Swansea, and Fulham we'll have had a very good month for me.

That sort of form would have us in the top two at the end of the past few seasons. More than a good start if we can manage that!

I'm far from a football expert, but they seemed to make slight adjustments to crowd our midfield more on about 15 minutes and we never reacted. Game got choppy from then on. I think MoN has done a very good job but it does feel he's slow to react to changes in the game or, sometimes doesn't at all and just sticks with his plan. I'm not saying it was a bad result (it wasn't), just that maybe we could to more to adjust in the moment. Like I said I am far from an expert and we are never going to boss every match or win all of them.

That’s a fair assessment, I agree MON isn’t one to make big changes as a game goes on, certainly not whilst we are on level terms away from home, he has a plan and sticks to it. I’m not sure we had the options on the bench to make the difference against Brum, we could’ve done with another midfielder as Clucas / Allen / Powell we’re all ineffective, but I’m not sure Thompson/Ince would’ve been any better. When everyone is fit we have a really good starting 11 for this league but we don’t have much depth.

Another big game on Tuesday. Again this will let us know how we are likely to fare this season. Not like you to talk rubbish March. If we win, what will it tell us? If we draw, what will it tell us? If we lose, what will it tell us? All genuine questions, I'm intrigued to know. We won - it is a cause for optimism. Any more questions?
