Match I missed - The promotion clincher at Notts County. As a 14-year old I missed out on going because a family member let me down at the last minute. I shouldn’t still be bitter about it, but I just am. The mental when Richardson scored must have been off the scale.
Match I saw - Stoke v Leyton Orient in Lou’s promotion season. 1-0 down with a couple of minutes to go, then Steino wakes up and takes the mickey with two rapid fire goals. Didn’t know whether to celebrate or just piss myself laughing. What great days.
Watching Stoke can be deadly dull or sometimes even torture, but man alive, there’ve been some absolutely glorious times that make it impossible for me to really think seriously about giving it up. Sometimes you need a thread like this to make you realise just how good the ride has been.

The promotion game at Notts County for me. I would love to show my son what happened. It was so unlike us to need a last minute goal and actually achieve it. We normally manage to throw things away in the last minute.

1972 LC Final. Unbelievably stressful but worth every minute to be in a crowd of 100.000 and see us WIN!!!!!

Mar fost ever!
Satdee 24th January 1976
FAC 3R Replay v Spurs (postponed to this date due to the Butler Street roof having been blown off!)
Why? Because now I'm 60, I'd like to see S-o-T as it was, I'd know the Stoke End wasn't actually Stoke's 'end', I'd wear warmer clothes and I'd like to remember the day for the 2-1 win, not just the terror of getting 'passed the graveyard' on the way back to the station, or the horror of having to travel home on the Spurs 'special'!!!

I’d like to sample that atmosphere at Joe Jordan’s 1st home game again. Not quite sure why it was so intense but anyone who was in the Boothen that day will remember it

Not quite sure why it was so intense but anyone who was in the Boothen that day will remember it The whole ground was singing, full on. No manager has ever had a better atmosphere for their first match. Jordan had no idea how to galvanise or utilize the crowd. When I see criticism of the current manager for being boring then recall Jordan it's like night and day

Scarf off on the station. Still have flashbacks 😂😂

Stoke 2 The Shit 1, from 93 Coca Cola Cup at the Vic. The Macari years were fucking brilliant still my favourite time of supporting Stoke. That night was the pinnacle for me with a packed Vic under the floodlights was bouncing. The Golden One with 2 of the best finishes you could imagine against one of the worlds top goalkeepers. Get me a time machine

My flashback? Police horses hurdling gravestones in the overflow graveyard pursuing Stokies pursuing Spurs! Had never seen anything like it in all my tender fifteen years

0-0 v Preston boxing day 2004 LOL Joe. I'd also like to see that one because it was the most boring game ever and I'm still struggling to express the feelings I had. Many great games mentioned in this thread that I agree with but one I'd like to watch again was Hoekstra's hat trick against Reading. On form he was a genius and watching that display of brilliance and arrogance from the wizard was worth the cost of a season ticket. OS.
