Why does Ange shout at him? Is she deaf? Does she think he is deaf/stupid? Does she know what a socratic question is? There is no money re FFP More of the same next year I fear Michael - would you say that if we win this game we should get the three points?

Sounds like he is getting his excuses in early for both Bournemouth & next season. Things are looking very bleak not looking forward to next season one bit.

What on Earth is going on in training. Out fitness levels are shocking and the number of injuries is getting beyond a joke.

Got a "mentally and physically tired" away in the first sentence this week! To complement "fatigued" and "running on empty" from the 2 press conferences before this one. Okay, even the most staunch defenders of 'physically tired' on here can't make a case for 'mentally tired', surely you can't? I mean how and why would anyone be mentally tired if invited to play 3 games of football a fortnight with no pressure in front of absolutely nobody??!! I mean I suppose had he said something like 'the lads have had so little of importance to do since our season petered out in February one or two of them are starting to contemplate the futility of their very own existence' you could at least have seen where he was coming from

‘Don’t want anyone to get injured that we plan to sell” That’s a worry, especially if we are sending youngsters on loan

The ground is being laid to sell Souttar AND Collins. Possibly Powell if we get a good offer.
I really wish people wouldn't treat us like idiots.

I was going to say thank fuck there's only one game left but next year will be more of the same. I just hope England can bring some enjoyment in the summer because I'm rapidly falling out of love with football. England will do an England, do fine untill they come up against a side with any quality.

Inevitably at least one of the better players will be sold ,due to the madness of our premiership transfer policy

Going to be tricky to put a 20 man squad out for this one: Davies Smith Batth Norrington-Davies Tymon Mikel Clucas Thompson Norton Brown Matondo Subs: Blondy, Coates, Forrester, Jones, Cousins, Varian, Wright-Phillips, Taylor, Vokes. I would approach that a little differently. It's a great opportunity to try something different - within reason considering the manager: Davies, Smith, Forrester, Batth, Norrington-Davies, Mikel, Thompson, Matondo, Clucas, Tymon, Brown. Subs: Blondy, Coates, Macari, Jones, Sparrow, Varian, Wright-Phillips, Taylor, Norton. But I might prefer to watch cycling instead...

My goodness this situation is just so depressing and downright dismal from every aspect isn't it. The only bright spot on the horizon is that thankfully it's the last game of the season this weekend. I don't think I've ever felt so despondent about a coming season - talk about "managing expectations", MoN has already totally extinguished any slight possibility of optimism for next season. By the sounds of it the transfer window is going to be one where we see players leave and we just (try to) loan players. What an utterly bleak outlook for the coming season. Those responsible at the club for this debacle should hang their heads in shame.

Not going to bother with this one. A proper damp squib. We'll probably get hammered by their B team as imagine they'll rest a few. I’m going to be flicking between the Derby/Wednesday and Rotherham games...they will be far more interesting to watch.

mentally and physically tired imho comes from the age of our squad , first 11 , available players. the manager touched on the age of the squad at the recent board manager event ..young or old ..but little falling in the middle ..he said it’s one of things he’d bei hoping to address in the next window (s)

Never miss an opportunity to tell the loan players getting in to our squad that they're not actually ready for it and they're only there because we're absolutely desperate.

Reality is starting to bite.
Too many contracted players.
Too many players that don't want to be here and that we can't shift.
No more parachute payments.
Our ten years as a Premier League club, where we could have built long-term foundation, have been well and truly wasted.
Jesus. I'm not really sure what the solution to this mess is going to be!
It feels like we are back to where we were 15 years ago!

I really hope we can make room for 3-4 good signings if we sell Collins and Allen for £12-15M all together! I'm more and more certain we will see Collins go, hopefully Allen too, but I'm fine with that if we can keep Souttar and Campbell at least! I'd love to see Etebo come back and fight for a place in our midfield too, but I guess that won't happen though! I would even force him to play for us unless someone was willing to pay at least £3M for him. If we could get £16M for the three of them I guess we could offload Wimmer, Afobe, Badou and Bauer too, but I still think Bauer is a better option than Smith to be honest.

I wouldn't expect any more than sub-£1m for Allen, given his age, wages and what you'd think would be limited interest
But I think we've got to be very open to selling Collins or Souttar if someone offers around £15m and lets us wheel and deal

Although that means that next season is basically just us treading water (at best). Thas pretty hard to swallow considering we spent a decade in the Premier League and now we are back to square one ... 😖

We are stuck in ever decreasing circles- so much for the root and branch review. If we are able to move one of the young Centre Halves for £15m, then when we try to reinvest, no doubt the asking price we have to pay will be inflated. While Stoke have no problem acting as a Charity to the like of Spuds, Derby, Burnley and Turkey in general, I think we’ll find that if we don’t trump the competition ( even when trying to sign a Windass or Rochdale CF) people will not be coming to the Bet 365. It really is a complete rerun of The Titanic.

The fans can't return to the stadium soon enough. I'm not convinced by MON, but it's about time the crowd made their feelings known about Scholes and the way this whole farce is mismanaged.

Training methods must be fucking shocking. I think we said that before when we had a lot of injuries under Hughes and the idea was Pooh-poohed. I think if you get a load like we have then it has to be questioned. Alongside rotation (lack of) and not using all 5 subs.

It really is a complete rerun of The Titanic. It would be acceptable to sell one of the young cds to a degree, with a loan back for a year, but I wouldn't think necessary to invest in replacements. We already have Forrester, Taylor, and Macari. They might not have been ready in the dourest of minds but they will be soon enough, especially Forrester. If we buy another Chester then he will only set them back. Any money coming into our cash register should go towards a new striker, or preferably two. Would he/they then hold Varian or Norton back? No because they're not number nines, they're are tens-to-be or sevens and elevens.
