It’s that time of year again. Time to revisit this magnificent golf course with a large field of very talented golfers.
I am not a gambling man but was looking at the Odds. They really show how it could be anybody’s tournament. MacIlroy was being quoted at 60/1 to finish in top six !!
Looking foreword to the coverage which was excellent last year. 🏌🏽♂️

Mcilroy only 18-1 to win it with bet365- so if you see those odds again I'd take them!
Backing Justin Thomas has served me well this year so I'm sticking with him as my main shot, but i've backed the brits as well as it would be great to see one of them win.

I am not an avid Golf fan, but I had a look this morning at who the main stars might be at Augusta. Immediately the name Bryson DeChambeau came up, which sounds to me like the sort of name that you might give to a Racehorse, and I actually thought I was looking at the wrong pages for the "field".

Bryson has vowed he will muscle it round the course as hard as he can so that should be fun. Expect plenty of rescue shots out of the pine mulch.
I, personal, wouldn’t bet on Rory to win at my par 3 course up the road the way he is playing*
*As with all my punditry tips you should probably do the opposite.

Rahm, just become a father, top 5 shots gained tee to green which is massive around Augusta. Mickelson, loves Augusta, apparently been driving ball well and if greens fast his creativity around them will help him. Bubba, playing ok and another whose touch/creativity around greens is superb. Willett, speculative punt. Having said all this, prob thomas or bloody spieth will win it!

And so they begin.
I would love to see Westwood up there and contending. It is however a very punishing golf course.
I am sure there will be lots of drama to come. 🤔🏌🏽♂️

I think Sandy Lyle might be out of the running...... Do you get a lifetime exemption if you win the Masters, it must be 25 years ago now isn't it?

Spieth bang in form. Rahm up with a chance.
Trouble with this tournament is it's so unpredictable.
Westwood is bang in form, just needs to putt like he has been recently.
Fleetwood or Koepka for me as outside bets.

Whatever happens it won't feel the same without Peter Alliss.

Is Bryson hitting driver off the par 3s this week? Does the Pope shit in the woods? Thing is, he’s putting like dream at present as well.

7-2 seems pretty fair for Rose to win from here...he is useful at augusta and plenty of experience now.
Keep an eye on Max Homa (+2) he likes to come from behind...

Every time Mclroy has a mare on the opening day I have a hearty smile on the Friday.
Rose is now “joint” most first day leader. I’d like to see him carry it through

Just watched the highlights.
A master class by Rose. Nine under over eleven holes !
The pressure is on now to continue with the form through to day two.
This competition is a marathon and not a sprint and a comprehensive lead can be lost on one green.🏌🏽♂️

Good to see Beefacke Bryson deShambles finding out yet again that you can't simply monster your way around every golf course.
Hope he's managed to clean all the twigs from his bag for today's round.
Good luck knobhead
