Liverpool have got so many glory supporters, and they always have had. It’s a hangover from their success in the 70s and 80s I suppose - but it’s the manner of the ‘fans’ and how they play the victim all the time. Hillsborough was obviously devastating for everyone - but when you get mawkish people trying to associate themselves with it, almost seeking sympathy for it when they were as detached as I was - then it’s just not acceptable. They’re victims and play a very weird role as fans of the club. I’m from Holmes Chapel in Cheshire. In my school there was 1001 kids (easy to remember), it is about half an hour ish from Stoke. In the whole school the only Stoke fans were me, my 2 brothers and one of the PE teachers. Literally that was it - because they all supported the Manc clubs but mainly Liverpool (with a handful of Crewe fans because they were the closest team). I’m 39. I now live and work in London. 3 mates from my office “support” Liverpool. They are from / went to school in: - Crawley - Windsor - Kettering This is why I hate Liverpool. Having lived in Manchester for 8 years before I moved down here, I must admit to liking the Mancs and the clubs - proper clubs (so are Liverpool) and good people. Really good people. Has everyone forgotten about Heysel?!

Is Pep Guardiola actually holding Foden back by not playing him more regular? I'll give you the most obvious answer. Yes.

He brings so much to City’s attacking verve when he plays. He’s looked better and better with each passing season. The boy’s got it all; a creative false 9 or a dynamic attacking midfielder.
I might be wrong, but were we trying to get him in our last season in the Premier League?

Pep knows him better than anyone and now playing him regularly and he looks some player. Wasn't he the youngest English player at one time to play in the CL at and already has 2 Prem medals so he was given more chances than some give Pep credit for. Some talent

Is Pep Guardiola actually holding Foden back by not playing him more regular? I think he’ll play him more and more now he’s shown he can do it, he’s only 20?? So there’s plenty of time for him to become a regular starter. I never understood the hype, until now.

I’m with you on this. I went to school in Stafford in the 80’s and bar me my English teacher and a handful being Stokey’s everyone was a Liverpool fan. In the 90s it moved onto Man U. I don’t see that as much with Man C. Down here it’s all Chelsea bar the odd Stokey.

Support the sentiment, but in a front four (4-2-3-1) which includes Kane, Sterling, and Rashford, who are you leaving out to accommodate Grealish and Foden?

Currently is Rashford better than Foden or Greilish? Would Grelish get left out for Rashford because he plays for Villa and Marcus plays for Man u? Just thoughts.

It's because he has little faith in the central defenders He's probably right to worry about that but Henderson and Rice together is painful

Don't rate him at all.

Don't rate him at all. So what do you do? Various CB options but nothing top drawer Do you play two players in the cage or one knowing how vulnerable the centre is. At the World Cup he played three CB of course. We have wing Backs for that but that takes away one of our excellent attacking options Depends on the opposition of course but against the very best sides think we will go 4231 with the two being very defensive. Maybe we should go all Keegan and just attack

Maybe we should go all Keegan and just attack It's a tough one really. Players do need to be picked on form. Joe Gomez can't be picked because he's injured which is a shame for him. When he was fit tho he wasn't on form. Maguire had Leicester laughing all the way to the bank and I'm not sure even Ole would agree he's that good if you asked him privately. Southgate has alot of choices to make. Sort of my original point. Pep has to have Foden as a nailed on starter every week because he looks genuinely one of the best around. Pep as we know likes a roulette but De Bruyne and Foden must be guaranteed to start every week. No point in Foden doing what he did against Liverpool to then get dropped next game. Will do him no good.

I think not to loose touch the main point i was making Is that Foden seems to be that good. It's now time he started every week. As I've said Pep loves a rotation and bar Ederson and De Bruyne everyone else is at risk of being dropped. He will say it works because they are top. You won't be helping Foden though by benching him.
