Can't we restructure the deal to take the option to buy out thus meaning Citeh won't be involved?.. I'm surprised we've implemented an option to buy anyway. We could do that, but it would still rely on Man City not offering to buy now. Schalke need to cut wages and get cash in, so they would just sell if the offer comes in. Having said that there is no reason for Man City to act now, because they can just see how he does, and then match Stoke’s option fee at the end of the loan if they want to? They could then, for example, buy him at £6.5M million and immediately resell to Stoke for £8M. Didn’t something a bit similar to that happen with Afobe?

Everyone’s moaning we’ve being doing this for years, we buy players a, b and c ( Imbula for example) for insane amounts of money play them a few times then loan them out to clubs, mainly in Turkey May I add.
Those in glass houses comes to mind, and we have the audacity to complain about Scholes, shame on you all..

Is there likely to ever be confirmation of any purchasing clauses as part of the loan or are they typically just open secrets?

They're keeping details of any possible options secret for some reason. schalke04.de/en/team/rabbi-matondo-moves-stoke-city/Winger Rabbi Matondo has left FC Schalke 04 to sign on loan at Stoke City until the end of the 2020/21 season. The Royal Blues and the Championship side have agreed to keep the details of the deal undisclosed. The Welsh international’s contract at Schalke runs until 30th June 2023. "Rabbi Matondo came to us with the wish of a sporting change,” said Jochen Schneider, Head of Sport and Communication. “We believe the change in environment will do both sides good.”

I can't quite work out how many we are looking to bring in?. Do we assume he will start on the left and go straight into the team?. Are we after another winger/wide man or maybe a central striker?. No mention of left back and also are we really looking at a right back?. Could there be as many as 4 incomings?.

If he does sign at the end of the season we might be able to keep Campbell for another year or so. It does come across they know each other well

Knows lads from the National side... Chester especially I could see as being a big factor in why he's come here. I love the way MON does business, and this is just the type of player I want to see us sign tbh.
