I would offer him a basic wage(£5.52 per hour),then a pay as you play.Don't think he would be interested though.

I haven't seen enough of him recently to know if he can still cut the mustard but I used to rate him. If he hasn't lost it and if his wages aren't too daft then I'd say he was worth a year.

We coiuld do worse, but didn't he move to London to be with his family?
And right wing is one of the few areas of the squad where we've got a player with the potential to possibly step up?

Would he be the first Peruvian player in the famous stripes? Always good to enhance your chances of selling knock off shirts in South America!

I expect the Stoke Holiday Club would start offering holidays to Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and along the Inca Trail. And they might start selling guinea pigs in the club shop. The marketing possibilities are endless - come on Stoke sign him up.

Probably is past his best, but he is a good player, be a good man to bring off the bench and Peru would be Stoke's #1 fan.

He's 33. He is separated from his wife and kids but moved to London to be nearer the kids. You'd have to say that a club like Fulham, Reading, Palace, Charlton or QPR would seem to be favourites assuming he wants to stay darn sarf.

100% worth signing without doubt. Some of the very best players we could possibly get will be in his age bracket. Genuine class is Solano.

West Ham release veteran Solano West Ham have decided to release veteran winger Nolberto Solano after just one season at Upton Park.
The 33-year-old joined the Hammers in August 2007 from Newcastle, and made 23 league appearances for the club.
Solano has ruled out a return to St James' Park, but the Peruvian is hoping to continue playing in England.
"I am looking for another club. I hope to stay in England for another two years and after that, I will return to Peru," he said.
Solano enjoyed two spells at Newcastle before his family situation forced him to look for a club in London.
"Everybody knows what I feel about Newcastle and those fans, but it would be difficult to ever return there," added Solano, who also had a spell with Aston Villa.
"The reason I was forced to leave Newcastle was because of family reasons, and that situation has not changed." news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/w/west_ham_utd/7451377.stm

Wouldn't be against it, but doesn't he play right midfield and that has to be one of the few positions where we have a certainty to start.

Has been a quality player but has he still got the legs, we are REALLY going to need legs and engines plus pace (not asking for much I know ;D ) in many areas especially midfield as we will be doing lots n lots of chasing and closing down for ninety plus minutes if we are to have a fighting chance of a second season in the big boys league

Shame on you for forgetting Paddington Bear, Fornside. Peru's most famous export
Would be a great signing agree
Perhaps we could entice Hector Chumpitaz, Ramon 'El Loco' Quiroga or Teofilo Cubillas out of retirement as well. Panini stickers, them were the days.
Must have had 20 Hector Chumpitaz swaps
