As soon as the team sheet came out you could see exactly what was going to happen, my fridge could do a better job upfront than Vokes. Why drop Campbell after his performance at the weekend, he’s young and hungry, let him build momentum and start him again. Just an awful team selection that cost us the game. Also to leave it until the 65th minute to make an outfield change is shocking.
He is a fantastic manager and what he has done for us since he came in is fantastic, but tonight he got it wrong.

4 - We were poor but, until Gunn came on, we were in with a chance. Shocking debut. We need someone in midfield who can see a pass.

Selecting both Vokes and Chester in the same lineup severely hampers any plans to get something out of a game, how he can not see this is beyond me.
As for rating, result and performance are in his hands, a very generous 3

I’ve seen nothing from MON that gets me thinking he’s the real deal, there’s lots of posts hailing him as the messiah but sorry for a top 2 side, let alone top 6 there’s just to many Barnsley/Swansea type games in him.
He’s bang average for me and a plodder like his team set up and some of his players, ChesterVokesfor example.
He asks for trouble from the off with his god awful tactics by sitting back waiting for a break when for example there’s nothing at all that we can hit them with, in truth it’s diabolical management without doubt.
No disrespect to the likes of Barnsley or Rotheram but we should be hammering teams like this if we were serious promotion contenders but MON chokes his players and will be the reason why we don’t look like a top 6 side throughout the season.
There’s just to many poor and then bang average games for me and the odd “one” where we look the real deal.
For me a big zero

M O N The job of the manager of our beloved football team is to pick a team to win the game of football, to get us promoted. Did you honestly think that you did that last night?? Like my arse mate, like my arse!! 0 from me

1 for turning up. The team selection got what it deserved zip and no shots on target. He always says he picks a team to go out and win. I would love to know how he thought that team would win the game. We have some very talented players...pick them.

I agree with a previous poster that I’d give 1 not 0 because there was a second half improvement. There needs to be some rotation, but you can’t change the defence, the midfield and the forward line at the same time. And you have to have at least two of the centre halves who are good in the air. These, worryingly, are basic errors.

Baffling how a manager who has been so largely impressive since he came here can occasionally dish up this negative, brain dead rubbish.

MON is consistently inconsistent. Its a 0 for me on the that showing. 90 minutes of my life I will never get back.
MON has some credit in the bank but hes definitely withdrawing it bit by bit with performances like this.
