Playing him on the left side probably didn't help with his passing. Without trying to sound all Bayern, it shouldn’t matter THAT much should he? He also needs to learn how to play on the left side and quickly as that’s the team I’d like to play moving forward. Might be a slightly off day, but just calling it how I see it. I'd prefer Collins Fox Souttar. I think it's important to have a left footer if possible and I also prefer Souttar in the middle but don't think Bahht is mobile enough to play anywhere but the middle. I'm not a great fan of Bahht unless we are facing the Alamo. I think his first instinct is to put the ball out or send it as far as he can straight back up the field. The only passes he is comfortable with are back to the gk or sideways to another centre half. Yesterday I think Collins and Souttar were a bit unsettled at first by his style of play. Fox has a much cooler head.

Fox has a much cooler head. In a three, you don’t need all defenders to be ball players. I often moan that Batth is very quiet, but he appeared to be pretty vocal yesterday. He is solid in the air and he is our best option there at the moment. He will just get the job done. If we persist with the three at the back though, I can’t wait for Ryan to return. Maybe left of a three will be easier for him (maybe it will be harder) but the possibility of having him provide his experience to two younger pros is exciting.
