To be fair to Brown, he was up against a pretty nifty player, he wouldn't face that quality week in week out in the championship.

If MON wanted to play Albert Steptoe and Alf Garnet in defence then I'd be OK with that. After a catalogue of fuck ups we finally have a fantastic manager.

It’s the best back 3 we have. He has to pick it on Sunday. Not forgetting the keeper....

And on top of all the defensive stuff both of them are so comfortable on the ball. It adds such a better dimension to the team. Indeed The ball play was excellent, even under pressure

That Martins Indi 16 min run to intercept the ball was immense. It's like watching him during his days in the Netherlands team. He still has it in him.
Not forgetting Thompson, hes done really well, his quick thinking was really needed to cover Mikel.
All in all our young lads did really well. So proud of them.

It'slready been said but it does bear repeating: the strongst back 5 at SCFC are Smith, Collins, Souttar, BMI, Tymon.

To be fair to Brown, he was up against a pretty nifty player, he wouldn't face that quality week in week out in the championship. I think Brown showed yesterday that he certainly isn't a defender. Their winger, NO 21, ran rings around him in the second half. MON also observed this and got Smith on the pitch before it was too late. Smith showed the difference as their winger suddenly became anonymous for the rest of the game. A lot of positive things can be said about Brown, but he is really a defender in the McClean mode! His positioning isn't good and he is way too easy to get past.
