Ayup lads, hope you all ok. Just a note for any of you who maybe take meds for anxiety/depression. Aswell as my daily 20mg paroxetina I was also prescribed sleeping tablets, I found myself relying more and more on them and could be taking 4 or 5 in the evenings (should only have 1), just to make sure I slept through. Anyone with anxiety knows the feeling of being awake in the middle of the night when things are 100 times worse!!! Anyway, for the last couple of weeks I have been taking CBD oil before bed (5 drops) and now I have ditched all my sleepers. Nothing better for sleep. Although mines more a thc/cbd combo but once I put my head on the pillow I'm gone in 5 mins.

One needs some brighter weather! Talked to my shrink a few weeks ago and complained I was "fucking miserable". (First time I'd ever used foul language in her presence and apologised in advance.) She looked through her notes and pointed out that I'd made the same complaint (then still on medication, but without the invective) one year ago, almost to the day! The days are getting longer and my mood is improving accordingly. It's easy to forget, when going through a bad time, that there've been bad times before but they have not lasted.

I guess sometimes the improvements in mood and mental health etc are so small they aren’t that noticeable but over a the weeks/months they add up. Keep it up mate 👍🏽

I think I had my first ever panic attack earlier. Stayed over in Liverpool with the missus and had a great night, then it came to getting the train back. Was supposed to go to Crewe but everything was cancelled. That meant everyone piling on to a train to Manchester, and being cramped and me sitting on my bag. Anyway, the train left Liverpool and I immediately just felt stuck, weird and not in control. We'd had a few drinks last night and was perhaps a bit hungover but it wasn't that sort of feeling. Had to tell the bride we were getting off at Warrington because there's no way I was making Manchester. Had a 1.5 mile walk to an Asda to try and feel better which sort of worked but I've not felt right all day.
Got an Uber back from Warrington to Crewe which was still a struggle and I was trying to concentrate on just getting back. Had all sorts of things off the other half to try and take the edge off and the diazepam I had when we got back finally seems to have sorted me out.

Not had 1 personally but my Mrs has and it’s not good. Yeah feeling loads better now thanks but knocked me about for a good few hours, felt really disorientated and just no ability to focus on anything after it happened. I will have to keep a check on things because I haven’t really ever suffered with anything like it before. I’m hoping it was just the circumstances in which I won’t often find myself in. I sometimes struggle with motion sickness (however, never on trains) but didn’t think claustrophobia was anything that bothered me, but I felt really trapped, and then with not wanting to be ill on the train, just ended up panicking myself into that.

Been there mate not pleasant, and I’m not talking about Liverpool. I get extremely claustrophobic where most don’t and it does panic me to the point of getting out under any circumstances. And when it’s all done you feel a bit of an idiot. Well I do anyway

But like you say, you just have to get out.

Good thanks mate. You? Certainly enjoying these lighter mornings. Work very busy so the weeks are flying by. A bit of travel thrown into the mix too so some hotels etc. I read somewhere that it won’t be dark before 6pm now until October so that cheered me up! Keep going lads 👍🏽
