One for Obi-Wan Mikel to mentor? Wouldn't surprise me at all if Sy has been sold Stoke on the basis that Obi-Wan would be training with him
It smacks of surpisingly forward-thinking and could pay off massively for a relatively small outlay.
Even if Obi-Wan doesn't play too many games for us himself, if he can bring a youngster along to be half as good as him, that's a success.
Exactly my thoughts too. Very astute move for all involved.

Exactly my thoughts too. Very astute move for all involved. I logged on only to write this exactly haha. It’s a real coup for a club of Stoke’s size to have a player like him now. You’d have to think that young midfielders would be seeing him as a very useful person to look up to. In larger clubs, these players are probably less likely to interact with the youth teams.

Yes definitely, because my correct spelling of the word 'sigh' made it appear that I was genuinely disappointed, rather than joining in with the humour. My apologies, i have edited my reply lol its been one of them days ...... seriously looks a cracking signing though
