So how about a streaming season ticket SCFC for those who showed good faith in March and bought their early bird season tickets. Red and white scheme has just been lobbed in the bin by Boris. Why for those who showed good faith. I've been holder for 13 season and first time I didn't renew early bird due to the possibility of what's now happened. As announced anyone who renewed is being refunded. It's also good to note that the early bird period never hit the expiry date, people still had time to purchase. The club stopped it and said they would resume it, so this good faith claim is utter rubbish.

The more I look at the red and white scheme the more I consider it to be well intentioned but fundamentally flawed.

Had the club not stated that they would re-open the early bird, then perhaps you would have a point, but because they did - you don't. It's the following statement that puts rubbish to this claim that the good will people who already bought a ST should be given some sort of priority or different treatment - "due to financial uncertainty for many supporters during this difficult time, the Early Bird period will re-open at a later date." The club did well to acknowledge the uncertainty for many and understood that. What you're basically saying is that for those who couldn't afford at the time to renew, or, for those who knew there job might be at risk due to a global pandemic, that it's tough luck? Hardly fair no?

although I have my own views , throughout , ie before the announcement, I’ve also provided throughout the ( ie before the announcement / decision ) evidence for others supporting their different positions ..including your point about the ‘ promise ‘ ..
Personally I’ll dust myself down , and add it to the box labelled Stoke disappointments , fortunately theres not many off the field entries in there over the years
As I say all academic now

Should be an option for all IMO. £10 a game for what could well end up being the whole 46 match season will push plenty towards illegal streaming. £10 a game = £230, much cheaper than 1 season ticket and in some cases families will be able to watch together No travelling expense Agree no where near the real match day experience but watching 3pm kick offs is also a very good deal If EFL are also offering a £10 a game opportunity, a very good price

Doesn't sound good in the Sunday papers.... Concerns are growing that fans will not be allowed back into Premier Legue games until the New Year. The spike in cases has scuppered any momentum that had been growing.
Now clubs are resigned to not opening their doors until the holiday period at the earliest.
One top Premier League official admitted: "We were desperate to get fans back next month. But this latest news means we can rule that out. Depending on what happens in the next few months, we may be able to push for November - but it's more likely clubs will make provision for a return in the New Year"www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8726461/No-fans-New-Year-delays-looming-clubs-face-financial-chaos.htmlBut one industry source familiar with the talks between Government and clubs said they were now 'pessimistic' that fans will be back in October, as previously planned, and indeed fearful that it will now be 2021 before any fans are allowed back in significant numbers.
That could cause financial meltdown for many EFL clubs, where TV money is limited, and will even stretch Premier League clubs. If the October date is missed, it would then be unlikely that a significant amount of fans would be admitted in November and December, as winter approaches and people are forced to socialise indoors, increasing the threat of exposure to the coronavirus.
All parties acknowledge that the next fortnight is crucial and if the disease continues to increase exponentially, then the return of fans will be delayed again and that it will be harder to make the case for a return in mid-winter.

The whole thing is a farce. France are still allowing crowds up to 5000 at sporting events, and they are having something like 10k+ cases recorded each day?
I would strongly suggest that these crowds will not be contributing to that rise in cases as they are so well controlled, like it would be here.
And as one of the papers suggests, it will force people to watch together indoors, or at the pub and potentially spread the disease quicker.
We really should've had people in by now. What was the risk of having small crowds at the cricket for example this summer? They are lucky that their season is coming to an end, but their finances are even tighter than EFL clubs.
I'm fucking sick of this govt putting restrictions on our lives, football fans, yet we were encouraged to go out and eat and get pissed a few weeks ago, but they didn't think that was much of a risk did they?

Send my kids to school with classes of 30
But I cant meet my family in the garden

I would invite anyone who believes the party line that exposure is less likely to happen in a group of six in public than two people meeting in a private household to visit a pub on a Saturday evening or a gym at rush hour. For all the efforts these businesses have made to become “COVID safe” there are still very many patrons of them who do not follow the advice. It’s pretty obvious that the restrictions are different for businesses and homes in some areas because the economy is already in the shitter and we can’t afford to enforce firmer restrictions on businesses again.

I’ve just written to TS to explain why he should invite me to be part of the initial trial for fans returning
1. I am a SCFC supporter and ST holder 2. I’m a very nice person 3. I’ll wear a mask at all times and comply with all COVID requirements. 4. I’ve never questioned his expertise nor his appointment of Mark Cartwright. 5. I’ll represent the over 65’s 6. I‘ll buy a pie as long as they aren’t leftover from last season 7. I promise not to sing, shout or clap 8. I think the new training gear design is brilliant 9. I will only use the toilets once 10. I’ll bring my own hand sanitizer
Sitting by the phone. 😁😁

www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/09/15/efl-ready-lower-demands-numbers-fans-grounds-ahead-critical/English Football League clubs appear ready to accept smaller crowds during a "critical 48 hours" in which sporting chiefs seek Government assurances that stadiums will reopen as planned on Oct 1.
Championship, League One and League Two clubs were on Tuesday night warned of "catastrophic consequences" facing the three tiers ahead of crunch talks between sporting bodies and Oliver Dowden, the Culture Secretary.
Telegraph Sport understands consensus is growing among the lower divisions that limits on numbers will need to be accepted in return for Government promises that spectators will be back.
With Covid-19 now at its highest rate since May, plans for limits of less than 3,000 across venues have been mooted as part of a staggered return to potential 30 per cent attendances.
