Michael Chopra at Cardiff, one good season then nowt Who was that one Swans had who scored about 25 goals one season then disappeared Michu? Went from tearing up the Premier League to retired at 31 in just 4 years. Incredible come down.

Just seen a wonderful stat about him. He’s played 4 full seasons with us. 15/16 Relegation and 2 in the Champo. But yeah just being controversial 🤦♂️🤦♂️ Three seasons of “getting back to his best”

Keith Bertschin 85/86?
Scored a few the following season to be fair but struggled to get his place back when Saunders hit his golden period

Far from a one season wonder True he wasn't a one season wonder but after that great season he never did it again at Stoke. It was his wonder season. When he was on his great goal scoring run one of the then Directors at Stoke who I knew said to me, make sure you put money on Saunders to score early in the match on Saturday. If I remember correctly he scored in the first minute. I never put the bet on but some people won a nice sum, Was it a record for consecutive goals in games.?

James Beattie and Abdoulaye Faye.
But what a fucking season they had.
I’m aware The Lord was here longer but he was plagued with injuries after that initial season.

He did his hamstring and you could see when he came back he was shit scared to run fast in case it went again, left us and started scoring again regularly.

Ray Wallace and Graham Potter were both excellent in the Macari play off season. Potter got a move to the Premier League Wallace, along with Pickering, went from useful Championship standard players to complete no marks. Nigel Gleghorn was solely responsible for that pair looking good in 96. He allowed them to play to their very limited strengths and masked their many failings.

Jack Butland, that is an odd one, anyway if you think he was bad which he wasnt until this season then;
You have obviously never seen the likes of these critters in-between the Stoke goal posts, and Barry Siddall gifted of all players bloody Gareth Crooks a goal typical for the season that was 1984-85 when he went to clear (kick) I believe memory serves me right just outside the area a simple ball where he completely missed it for Crooks to run onto and score into an empty goal Barry Siddall Neville Southall Joe Corrigan
